I only use winamp for track IDs anyway.

Set plays in Windows Media Player, samples are checked in Winamp

I agree, but, I also upgraded my winamp. On my laptop however I use Apollo and on my desktop I use Winamp and iTunes (because of my iPod) And I am really happy with all 3 programs!

Then uncheck the check for upgrades at start up box, problem solved.
