Fav Early 90's Artist Albums
I was going through my old albums, and I just love:
Jam and Spoon - Tripomatic Fairytales 2001
BT - IMA
Chemical Brothers - Exit Planet Dust
I really want to hear that old unrefined EDM sound. Who has more suggestions?
NO MIX ALBUMS!
Orbital - In Sides
Dance 2 Trance - Moon Spirits
Art of Trance - Deeper than Deep
Cybotron - Clear (1990)
Hardfloor - TB Resuscitation (1993)
Model 500 - Classics (1993)
Don't know if this counts as early 90's but Voodoo People by Prodigy is amaaaaazing!
B.G. The Prince Of Rap - The Time Is Now
No, really! Fine, don't believe me.
Underworld - Dubnobasswithmyheadman
Orbital - In Sides
L.S.G. - Rendezvous In Outer Space
Pete Namlook & Richie Hawtin - From Within
The Source Experience - Different Journeys
System 7 - 777
Hallucinogen - Twisted
Eat Static - Abduction
Global Communication - 76:14
Der Dritte Raum - Mental Modulator
The Orb - Orbus Terrarum
Astralasia - Whatever Happened To Utopia?
Just to mention a few....
thank you keep them coming!
Now to actually find all these treasures!
Prodigy - Music For The Jilted Generation
Orbital - Brown Album
Leftfield - Lefism
Amorphous Androgynous - Tales of Ephidrena (if I've spelled all that right I'm a genius)
The Future Sound of London - Lifeforms
Engima - The Cross of Changes
Primal Scream - Screamadelica
BT - Ima
Am I the only one who thinks that "In Sides" is over-rated to fuck then? Not to mention being from 1996, which is hardly "early 90s".
EDIT: I spelled the comment about spelling wrong. Sigh.
Speedy J - G Spot
Ken Ishii - Innerelements
Solar Quest - Orgship
FSOL - Lifeforms
Spicelab - A Day On Our Planet
Sun Electric - Kitchen
Young American Primitive - Young American Primitive
To add a few to the already mentioned:
Spicelab - Lost In Spice

Orbital - Snivilisation
Aphex Twin - Selected Ambient Works 85-92

| Originally posted by SYSTEM-J Yeah, because if you round to the nearest decade, those two hit 1990, where as In Sides hits 2000. So pray tell me how the fuck an album released in the second half of the decade is "early 90s"? And I forgive Leftism, despite being on the usual round-up limit of '95, because a lot of it was released before then. |

| Originally posted by SYSTEM-J True, but a lot of people prior to me did the same. I just thought it was pushing it a bit to go into 1996. Anyway... I don't rate In Sides. This isn't an anti-Orbital dig because I'm a big Orbital fan, but In Sides really didn't live up to the hype for me. The first four tracks are awesome, but then it starts to get lost, and the 26 minute, two-act epic Out There Somewhere is just self-indulgent wankery. |
Speaking of YAP, I had the chance to buy their album for 100 bucks. Needless to say, I told the seller to go fuck himself. (though in nicer fashion).
Never shall I pay that much for an only "good" album.
As for on topic, hm, well, they've all been mentioned.
