load Samples in Reason?

I tried loading some WAV samples in NN XT and NN 19 but it says bad format or format not supported.
I m basically trying to load some pads and leads samples.
Is there any way by which i can load WAV samples in any Reason synths..?
These WAV samples are external and not included in Reason REFILL.

samples are loaded in samplers not in synths....

you probably hit the button that openes patches in NN19, there is another one that openes .wav

Either that, or you're trying to use 8bit/22khz samples...

I had that happen to some kick samples I downloaded.
Try resaving the wav files in some audio editing software, maybe?

WAV files can be compressed with a codec like mp3, but Reason only supports uncompressed PCM audio.

Chances are your samples are compressed somehow. You'll need to convert them to PCM either with a dedicated format conversion program or with a sound editor like soundforge or audition.

Ummmm......not even Windoze Media Player can open those samples mate. Where on earth did you get them from?

Posted by funkysouls on Feb-27-2006 14:29:

I used fruity Loops and created something using these samples.
They came initally with FL studio. I then switched to Reason and now remaking it so i wanted them to load in Reason.

wat do i do?

well that sucks, what am I going to do with all the vst plugins i purchased. im finding reason the best music software off all the ones i used, but really why does it not run plugins, is reason actually very powerful with making beats that i wont even need to use plugins?

any1 with any solutions regarding samples...?
n yes..they r working samples.

Load the samples into FL. Place them on their own in a song. Export them to WAV (44.1 or 48K) and then load them into reason.

Oh and Moe, if you want to use VSTs, you can integrate Reason with other hosts like FL, Cubase, Ableton etc via ReWire.
