Looking back on a 20 Year Old Console

Great future. I especially enjoyed the 'horrible boxart' and 'funniest quotes' parts. Interesting to read about the goofy 'glitches', too. Those guys are such jokers. Haha.

Nice 1 Yan.

I'm going to beat Mega Man 2 as soon as I'm done with class tonight! huzzah!

Also it was really cool to see so many of my favorite games make the top 10/editors choice list, especially some I didn't expect to see (read: Duck Tales, Life Force, and the aforementioned MM2 among others)

I was obsessed w/ life force when I was younger, and I have it on my computer now.

not only is it a great great game, it also has some sweet tunes.

I stopped buying systems after Sega Genesis so I dig articles like this one. Kudos Yan.

Once I got a computer I never went back to TV console's, although I still play NBA JAM and Streets of Rage 2 all the time. And also the occasional street fighter.

Contra, SMB3, Zelda, Duck Tales When those came out our city looked like it was deserted, avery kid and their friends and sometimes even their parent were behind the TV holding a controller and trying to make it to the next level. Forget sports, forget movies the only thing that mattered was NES <3

Actualy i still have my old NES somewhere, i think ill its time it sees the light of day again

quote:
It was October 18th, 1985, to be precise, when the NES first came to the United States. After successful trial launches in test markets in late 1985, the NES was available nationwide the following year. The system was an undeniable success, and the lack of direct competition helped to propel it and the video game market back into the limelight in both the Eastern and Western regions.

DOB - 10.18.1981

My father bought me NES when I was 7 (1988) on my birthday =)
