cause didnt they used to have mars or mystery close for 1015... i dunno but pvd on the 18th was the first i saw that guy, he looked as if he was gonna mix metallica and some pearl jam together

And use it...it'll take some of the grain out from the high ISO But use sparingly.

You must not go to Ten15 much, lol.

That's Taj. Used to be a Spundae SF resident and has played with essentially ever major trance DJ over the last several years here in SF. Now he helps runs things in the main room Saturday nights at Ten15. Anyhow, yeah...he's been playing at Ten15 regularly for many years.

Don't let his hair scare you...he's a totally down to earth guy.

I don't think Mars & Mystre have ever been regulars at Ten15. Over the years on Trance nights when there was a closer (which used to be rare), it's pretty much consistenly been either Taj or Gianni (who has gone MIA...heard he was taking a break).

You'll see Mystre play every now and then, though....usually at Skills events there.

Yeah, I need to be more patient with trying to find good settings with the flash. Stupid smoke machine being used so much made me not even care to use the flash at points so I just packed my diffusers

Yarr...Drew says with 2nd Curtain sync the flash doesnt pick up on smoke.

But 2nd curtain is anoying cause you cant see through the shutter when the flash fires so it makes framing precisely a biotch.

Yeah, I tried 2nd curtain w/ little to no luck. Got to understand. If I was more than like 5 feet away I would get a thick haze most of the time. Smoke machine was going off like it was a full kryo blast every few minutes all night both nights. Not to mention they did Kryo blasts, too, but at least that goes away. The pics you see with smoke blasting out from right above the DJ is the smoke machine. The others where you see smoke coming from the corners of the room was the Kryo (nitrogen). The smoke was a bit overdone too since I think it contributes to the room being so hot! But it helps the lighting look cool in no-flash shots. ;p

Never been to a place that smoked up the room nearly as much...not even close.

In fact just wait for me to post all the pics which will be later tonight. The pics that's are completely hazy were in fact taken using 2nd curtain. I dunno, maybe I'm doing something wrong with other settings but I do know that I did use 2nd curtain ;p
