Yup what these ppl said - lots people on here do seem to know loads about new released tracks/upcoming but usually because they follow particular record companies or producers.

I think its impossible to be totally updated - I hear tracks that got released 6months ago or even further back and think "whyyy couldnt I have heard this ealier??"

Also I think its a massive problem tryin to ID tracks I wish all tracks had some universal ID process which allowed any machine to read at least artist/track name and display it to the user wherever/whenever its played.

Itd have to be some unique auditable signature...god knows...

One things for sure, always come to TA for latest info + ID'ing !

nowadays i can't be arsed to stay up to date anymore

ofcourse it depends on the style of EDM you like most. i personally like trance, progressive, house, and some techno (and everything in between, progressive trance. progressive house, etc .. but not the harder stuff like hardstyle, hardtrance ...). anyway, i listen every week to A State of Trance, Global DJ Broadcast, and sometimes ta Aroudn the World. next to that, i grab as many sets from dj's as i can, and occasionally, sets of dj's im getting interested in, just to explore styles/sounds ive never listened to before.

i usually get those sets from torrents-sites (cant name their URL's). some torrent sites have tons of sets, esp. mixing bowl. they have all EM's, all known radio shows, etc ...

next to that, i grab as many scene releases of new vinyls.

that's how i stay up2date. hope this helps

I try to avoid ASOT at all costs and instead go to crystalclouds.com where there are plenty of new sets by quality trance djs to download for free.

i used to use ASOT, but now ?
