Review: Sunday School w/ Sean Miller @ State

Great night overall. I have to say it was a lil tame at the start but I finally found my groove once things started to heat up.
The venue is a bit odd, not much of a dedicated dancefloor. But we all found room to shake some booty. I wasnt digging the $7 drinks either. But dont get me wrong, I'll probably be back.

It was a pleasure to meet a few new TAs! Floorwhore, Jon Jon, The Wiz, Chinamon & 5iftin6ears. Hope to see all of you soon! And of course to everyone else, awesome partying with you guys (and gals) as always! Josh, I must agree, you gotta look into getting one of those poles installed in your appartment.

Thanks to Sasha for driving my ass. Mississauga crew represent!

- the space is beautiful
- crowd was hot
- sound was meh (despite additions)
- staff was amazingly helpful
- miller wasn't as "on" as I've seen him previous, but still played some killer tunes...

Great party, especially for a Sunday.

I had a pretty good time.

- Nice to meet you too Stingray!
- Great staff. All very friendly and helpful. Awesome doorman, you made my night!
- Sound was crap. I kept wondering if I couldnt get that into it because I could hardly hear the music.
- Miller's set was not what I expected, he layed down a couple of banging tunes but I found it didn't really go anywhere.
- I thought that too much of the dance floor was given for VIP space, which left no dance room.
- Crowd was fine, hot and mostly polite but lacking a vibe. It was a mingling sunday party which is nice every once in awhile.
- Overall, that was a pretty good night. My legs are aching today!
As always, great to see everyone xoxo

A couple people mentioned the staff. They were indeed great! A very welcome change from the usual dicks that work at clubs.

Here's my review ( )

i was so hungover from saturday night that leaving the house wasn't even an option on sunday.

glad it turned out well though; i'll definately try to check this out sooner or later.

I had a great time at this party.

If only I could have danced a little bit more. Had to keep resting my foot.

These parties will have my support always. Chill events where you know half the place is what it's all about.

Wow, that was a serious sunday. lol

Got things started WAY too early lastnight as it was my bro, and friends b-day celebrations.... so lets just say, i was 'ripe' by the time we arrived shortly after 10.

The club had people constantly flowing in until midnight, perfect amount of people for an intimate jam like this. Great crowd, amazing staff, and orginization. Sean was playing a lot of his older gems to start things off, pretty mellow until midnight or so, but then again he's not the type of dj to drop bombs to 8 people dancing at 11pm - lol. Once he got started though, the crowd was eating it up, he even had Craig and Carey doing the ickey shuffle in the front of the booth! Stayed until 3am, and that brutal thought of having to be at work in 5 hours set in. fack.

It was great chatting it up with everyone i saw lastnight, a lot of positive comments about this 'Sunday School' event. If lastnight was any indication as to how the future events will be, Monday morning may turn into hell on earth for all of us nine to fivers! Totally worth the hangover

See you all next week

Great first night gentlemen!!!!

It turns out I was unbearably tired and not feeling well from inhaling drywall dust all day (I was helping a friend on some house renos) which is why I must apologize for being a walking zombie, but the tunes dug into my brain quite nicely if not in my feet.

Sean played...well...like Sean does: technically stellar with great control and programming. Loved that he played EBTG vs. Deep Dish - Future of the Future as a classic tune and also one of my favorite new ones in Rhythm Code - Sing (Rene Amesz remix). Also watching Jon Jon do Karaoke versions of the music (tracks with no vocals) was quite enjoyable despite my poor state.

Thanks as always to Carey for this great new night and it was good to see the rest of you lot again...you know who

p.s. I love Rye. I love Rye more when < $7. Please help me like Rye more.
