Leama and Moor

All I can say is... shit! These guys are easily becoming my fave remixers.

It all started when I checked out "Brian Eno - An Ending (Ascent) (Leama And Moor remix)". I was thoroughly impressed with that choon, even without hearing the original. The kick drum was good and the song itself is really euphoric.

So then when I came across "Gill Norris - Forme (Leama and Moor remix)" I thought hell yeah, I like the original, why not check this out!?

...BRILLIANT!

It had now become apparant that they like to include their own super smooth square and sine melodies in their remixes. The best part is that their melodies seem to slot in perfectly with the originals, almost making it seem like their own tunes.

Now I would like to check out their remix of Tiesto's "A Tear In The Open". I have only heard a low quality sample which wasn't good enough to determine if it had a good kick drum or not. I don't like the original but i'm sure this will be really cool!

anyway, I strongly suggest you check out their remixes It is obvious to me that when these two work together, they only like to remix. It's such a shame though, they could make killer music

Wait for the album. I think the instrumental of Distance Between Us is their most valuable work to date.

Posted by meneedit on Feb-28-2006 10:29:

I CANT wait for their album! I only just found out a few minutes ago when I read the interview.

edit: what other kickass remixes have they created?

Posted by Tenshi on Feb-28-2006 10:31:

i think you should check out the following too:

starkid - crayons (leama & moors in loving memory of starkid mix)
Little wonder - eclipse (leama & moor remix)
2 players - signet (leama & moor remix)
Leama - Melodica
Leama - Requiem for a Dream

it's quite obvious that Leama is the musical brain behind this project. Especially if you listen to his solo work.

Paul Oakenfold - Zoo York (Leama & Moor remix) is propably my favourite one

That's an awesome tune indeed. Especially when that dramatic melodie comes in for the first time. For some reason that sounds typically like Oakenfold to me.

I remember Oakey playing L&M ambient mix or something like that when the track was new but apparently that version was never released. At least it wasn't the original.

Their remix of 'Radiohead - Go To Sleep' is awesome.
It's probably the only Radiohead remix other than Hybrid's remix of 'Everything' that I'm not offended by.

Posted by meneedit on Feb-28-2006 23:33:
