How can you say it's so different? Tune into the top40 chart (or whatever the american equivelant is) and then tell me it's different.
A quote by myself from msn last night:
Pete - says:
when i listen to it i think that every element of the track is comparable to chart music. The vocals are cheesy, the cutting and effects they use on the vocals are basic and cheesy, the music is cheesy the lyrics are awful. It just generally sucks
and ergh the 'clapping' noise they use
I can't use technical words like the elitests but yeah that's my opinion

For some reason I like it... I still haven't figured out why... I guess because it's catchy.
Meh.

Same goes for me.
Its the closest thing you will get to a true cross-over track these days. It goes down brilliantly on the dance floors. But it is utter chedder to b fair. I started liking it once i heard it played out.

Don't take it personally, if you dig the track that's great, but a lot of people on this forum have rather strong opinions on it... |
Absolute pile of rubbish.
brilliant track
somewhat cookiecutterish, but don't you like those truck cookies from when you were 6?
MMMMM Cookies. Yea cookiecutter. I like it though.
Speaking of cookies. I gotta buy plane tickets to visit grandma.
He's kinda irritating...
Anyway, I think the song is okay really.
I realised that this was on Ferry's cover disc for the new Mixmag, so I've just decided to see what all the fuss is about.
After cleaning up the blood from my ears, I have to conclude that this has been seriously over-rated by some quarters. Even as a "catchy" vocal effort it fails, because the hook and vocals are pathetically limp. Do people hype any track from a big-name producer these days?
And seriously... what the hell was with the male vocal cutting in with the "tracking treasure down" line? Which fuckwit in the studio thought that that would sound good on the finished product?

I also decided to hear this track.
At 3.41 I tear the phones off my head in a mix of frustration and hysterical laughing.
The vocals are uninspired, the whole track is horrible, and the male vocals that keep saying "tracking treasure down" in a voice that sounds like a cancer patient really crowns this shit.
I dont hear music.
all I hear is a chick trying to sing and someone playing a gameboy in the background

i said its different because i havent heard a track that sounds like this.
i thinks its catchy, the lyics and vocals are horrable, but i like it. not because of it being Gabriel and Dresden, i only like 1 other song of theirs.

I can't really be arsed going into detail about why I dislike this track, there have been numerous threads about it, and I've stated my opinion in virtually every one to date. It's everything I hate about bad trance music in one convenient package. |
