I have a friend who insists on calling every EDM "house". He is not ignorant he understands the distinctions and is getting better he is just stubborn.

House = All music w/ no Lyrics.
Rap = All music that swears in it.
R+B = All music that whines
Rock = All music w/ Lyrics

I think like would be a lot simpler if we didn't have to classify everything.
