To All Those Planning To Do Dance Valley

There has been a change in the date.

Hope this doesn't effect everyones plans too much.

Oh well, there's plenty of other festivals that are equally enjoyable around the original date.

This effects my plans bigtime and I am just hearing about this tonight ( I think it was just announced today though cuz it wasn't up last night when I looked)

Fucking UDC just HAD to change shit around.
DV now also happends to fall on the same weekend as the Extrema festival and Love Parade in Berlin I believe (according to partyflock.nl anyhow)

Now I need to sit down and figure out my plans all over again

I can see how that can seriously be a piss off, esp if you already bought tickets.

Apparently, It has something to do with not enough Police being available that weekend to assist with the event.

I am working on it as we speak.. partyflock.nl has all the events that are going on in and around Europe for the most part.

I am thinking now that I may just see if I can get extra time off work and spend 3 weeks in Holland and go to Awakenings July 1st

That weekend of Dance Valley is pretty heavily satuated in quality parties.

they do have good listings of all the parties yes..

but look at the 4 parties all in the same weekend.
At first I thought exactly that.. oh, well I can fly over to Berlin for the love parade since I will be in Europe in July now instead... then I found that

But the Exit Festival is the weekend before..so that could now be a possibility for me as well now!

Speaking of Sensation their upcoming world tour looks interesting.
I'm eyeing their tour date in the old hippy getaway of Goa, India. Date TBA.

You can do a very good weekend trip to Berlin on that weekend:

Friday evening: Love from above (Pre-Party with Paul van Dyk)
Saturday daytime: Loveparade
Saturday night: Lovebase

I know, it is annoying as hell. I am chatting with one of my friends from Holland right now and he says that it is all suppose to be finalized by next week before tickets go on sale.

They don't understand why it was changed either and it is coming to a shock to them as well considering for the last 11 yrs it has always been either the first or second weekend in August and now this. So who knows.

All I know is I will be going regardless, just a little disappointed now that with there being another festival this weekend that I may not get to see everyone in Holland and party with you guys and them for DV like planned!

Gah... this sucks...

I was planning on hitting Global Gathering -> Dance Valley -> Ibiza.

This might change that.

Luckly there are so many great alternative options. It's not like if WEMF was cancelled, then what other festival, in Canada, would you go 2??? pretty much none.

Personally, I wouldn't mind checking out another festival. I've been really eyeing that Sensation world tour

I am going onto round 3.. I love it that much!
And especially now with the camping.. you gotta do it and have the full experience, even if you are covered in mud for 2 days due to the rain

always a solid techno stage.

Carl Cox considers it one of his favourite events in europe and from the pictures and the lineups I have seen I can imagine why! On the edge of a forest I think or something as well.

I thought about it Kate, but instead I am going to only go for DV this summer. I need to save my money and when I move to Europe then I can attend it
Although the techno listins for DV last year were pretty good..
Umek & Kanzyani, Liebeing, de Hey, Cox, Hertz, Preach and Kowalskit. Although I only ended up seeing Preach and Kowalski the lineup of techno is pretty amazing. But that goes without saying in Europe
