New mod nomination thread

this is going to be a popular notion to some of you, i'm sure. and yes, we are doing this again after only 5 months. i don't want to deal with all this kinda stuff anymore. i'm turning 25 next month and i'd rather get my life on track than to try to change TA to what i thought would be a been a better community.

personally, i am going to nominate Caleb (mikefassy) and i've already contacted swamper about all of this.

so name your nominees right here.

i think we were ok without a mod, it was just the sticky threads and such that needed to be done

Being a moderator is a not-fun, thankless, & sometimes horrible job and will effect the way you think about the people who are here (let's face it, all messsage boards have some idiots and you will need to deal with them). You might end up not liking the music & scene as much.

It's like suddenly you put on a cop uniform and walk down the street. It effects how people interact with you, and sometimes in extreme cases your personal security or peace of mind is a concern. Because of this I'd suggest that whoever is the new moderator, if any, keep your mod function secret and get a new ID that is only used for moderating. That way your normal activity and identity as a music fan is preserved.

Of course if you are an anonymous moderator nobody will know that you in your normal ID have these secret super-powers, so no head-trip there.

without any sort of out-reach programs, or visibility to the average party-goer, this site is just a cliq area for a few people to chat
