solarstone's two hour set at room in nov '04 was stunning. would love to see them again, especially playing a proper 3 hour set.

Posted by chubbs on Mar-02-2006 20:07:

Agreed Matt, would love to see them out here again soon.
Oh, and someone should coax Lindy (DBass) into playing another set as well, heh.

^^ chin-stroking?

I've heard heaps of solarstone stuff, which is rare for me! I liked all of it!

Hopefully they will do a melbourne flyby, after my wallet recovered from two tribes that is

I pulled my back when solarstone were last out. Theyre a bad luck omen for me. Thanks to room's shitty couches and strangis's awesome massage. rofl.

Very much looking forward to meeting the guys and of course their set. They had a big year last year with Next Train.

certainly dont think he'd be saying that.. hopefully not anyway.. i think we were all sensationally greatful you brought them out... that was the best 5am related night i can remember.. (except maybe for the Adam White one at room on april 1st [for non-music related reasons])

just that the more hours of solarstone the better

haha no geez that was a stunning, stunning set (did anyone ever get a live set of it?), a third hour would have meant my face would still be stuck in a permanent smile. I just like long sets - its my closet prog-lover talking.

3 hours of whingey bitch vocal tunes

I heard so much about Solarstone's last visit (it was just before I discovered all you guys). I would really like to see them.

So will it be a "Room" event?

Posted by Nyquist_Theorem on Mar-10-2006 01:53:

lol @ you two... i play more than prog and whingy bitch tunes you know...

afaik at present no one's locked into bringing Solarstone into Melbourne.

which is a shame, as they're a top act.
