Toronto Parkour

This infomercial has been inspired by dEsidEL, two pints of Stella, and the letter B.

Wow, I never knew there was a Toronto site. I've always been on the offical site.
This stuff is so crazy, hopefully this summer I can practice.

There's another TA who does this almost religeously, but forget who.

Parcours also has reached the cinema industry. Parcouristes are now used for stunts and chase scenes in several movies.

My buddies and I do this when drunkenly stumbling around campus. It's fun . Though we obviously have no idea what we're doing skill-wise

Didn't know this shit had a name..

Very weird, but very cool.

a friend of mine got into this last semester, but (completely unrelatedly) he has to have knee surgery soon so he stopped.

I've always wanted to get into it, it would be friggin amazing, but I have absolutely no skill like that whatsoever. I mean, running around is cool, and jumping off stuff is cool, but holy hell, I dunno if I could climb a wall.

I started this last summer, but still am no pro by any means!

Last summer I pretty much worked on climbing and since theres a school in me backyard it's a good place go out and jump around for a bit. I really want to learn the roll to take impact when falling from long distances, still nervous about it, though.

Somehow, I don't find it hard to believe that you can get seriously injured if you don't know what you're doing.

If you really wanted to learn the exact proper technique take jiu jitsu... its beaten into from pretty much your first day... now when i fall from nearly any distance its second nature for me to break roll... they will teach you to use your body to dissapate the force from nearly any height...

Take it easy at first... and slow... dont take risks... and it will all come with time... next thing you know you'll be jumping up a 3 story parking garage then jumping off of it

They are called "traceurs", most people who incorporate parkour into stunts and chase scenes for TV aren't true "traceurs".
