Yunus Guvenen - Mass Schizophrenia
Believe it or not, i heard this track for the frst time today! Seems like i've been missing out on something BIG! Lots and lots of details, and a real moody atmosphere makes this this track simply perfect. Takes you on a real journey and never repeats itself. This is what i'd like to call progressive music along with, say, James Holden - I Have Put Out The Light.
In fact it was so good i just had to make a thread and ask for similar stuff. I expect Cobalt to help me out here
Stuff that NOT need to be mentioned, because it's not what i'm looking for (and also because it's isnt "progressive" in my opinion):
Ozgur Can
Markus Schultz
..and anything similar to that
I suppose im looking for a bit darker, deeper stuff that you could expect being played by djs like Digweed. Any help is appreciated, but i'd like you to not just paste a huge list of "progressive" tracks, i rather just want you to write down like 4-5 tracks that you REALLY think are what i'm looking for.
Thanks!
It's a brilliant track. Whenever I get a decent set of speakers, this'll be one of the first tunes I'll play on it, it cannot be played loud enough.
Also, I find that the vocal effects sound different at different volumes. Like they sound confusing at normal volume, kind of appropriate for a track called 'mass schizophrenia' but at louder volume they sound more regular.
Okay here we go then:
Grayarea - Yewmynist
Dirty Fours - Breathless
Keiichi Suzuki - Satellite Serenade (Transasianexpress Mix)
Pole Folder - Waxx
H.U.V.A. Network - Overload (putput mix)
Not heard this track from Yunus, but I love 'Nefes' and 'Red Pilot'.
My suggestions for some deep atmospheric prog' stuff for ya:
Blackwatch vs Greed - Gentle rain
Trancesetters - Synergy (John Grahams Quivver mix)
Aural Imbalance - Aural Navigation
Hi-fi Bugs - Lydian and the dinosaur
O.D.D - Dont look at me (Paul Rogers dub)
Odessi - Moments of space
Evenflow - Indecisive
Corellian - Fathoms (Freelance icebreakers remix)
UNKLE - Eye for an eye (Dylan Rhymes vs Force Mass Motion remix)
Grayarea - Yewminyst
anything from yunus
Trancesetters - Roaches (Bugs in Slackers Basement)
thick atmoshpere in that one
Excellent track, great for building up some tension in a set, i find my self spinning this from time to time.
and RebeL9, any mix of 'Roaches' is good........"Lets get back to the programme"

Oh and check out
Bedrock - Heaven Scent (Yunus Guvenen Remix)
Hell of a remix of this amazing tune, the only mix that comes close to touch the brilliant original, imo.
Haven't heard that Yunus Track, I'll take alisten.
some good progresive I can Recommend
Way Out West - Ajare
Chakra - I Am (John Digweed Remix)
Junkie XL - Zerotonine (Slacker's Tens)
Junkie XL - Future In Computer Hell (Pt 2)
Enjoy

Nice..
Yunus Guvenen is a legend. 'Fever' is definitely his best track. The breakdown is just crazy, and should only be heard at a big ass venue with big ass speakers to experience it at maximum effect. Place went crazy when Jon Lisle dropped it last summer.
yep, brilliant track
check out Yunus Guvenen - Let Go, if you don't know it.. from last year. the track follows a similar structure to Mass Schizophrenia
class track all the way
also check out his indigo child disguise
Yunus - Fever is OH
Opus 34 is brilliant.
If you like deep and atmospheric progressive, you'll love these tracks:
Quivver - Space Manoeuvers Part 3 (Main Mix)
Space Manoeuvres - Stage Two (Space Manoeuvres' Total Seperation Mix)
Breeder - New York FM (Van Bellen Remix)
Sasha - Bloodlock (Original Mix)
Ficta - Eli (Original Mix)
Vince Watson - Bubbles (Loudeast Dirty Mix)
Future Sound Of London - Papua New Guinea (Satoshi Tomiie's Main Path Mix)
Yes as dj zevan said, check out his Indigo child productions. Brilliant stuff! Other than that i suggest you to dig up some older sets from Kasey Taylor or Sean Cusick. You will not be disappointed mate.
thanks for the help, i already knew about many of the tracks you recommended but i found some stuff i have never heard before as well, like for example that vince watson tune, excellent stuff!
there's bound to be more out there, though?
I forgot to mention atmos-qualitaet im quadrat. I assume you'll
like it, deep and spacey.

Maybe Benz & MD tracks will do the job.
And yeah, Yunus is a genius imo...great tracks...
check out moshic's stuff...

Since were talking about his other productions, I really like 'God Bless America.' Its got the same kind of edgyness and attitude that Fever does.
What I find funny is the placement of the sample "...but they have failed," which follows "our financial institutions are strong, our military is prepared." Did Guvenen arrange the samples this way to make a veiled political statement?
Anyways, sick track and its fun to drop after "Playing with Marilyn" by Yannis PK.
I can't believe I missed this thread! Check out two progmasters at work with these fine tracks:
Yunus Gunuven & Subsky - Airfuzz [2004]
Yunus Gunuven & Subsky - Erotic Sumo [2004}
How about the greek prog scene, namely...
Kosmas Epsilon
Nikola Gala
Dousk
Christo Cambas
Andrew-K
They usually come with good atmospheric proggy stuff.
