Smiley DJ CDJ-100 vs CDJ 200

Going to take up DJing, and am going to skip vinyl due to the high price of records.

So gonna get me some CDJs...

Want to start cheap - to see if im a) any good and b) if i like it

so should i start with 2 CDJ100s or spend a little more and get the extra features with 2 CDJ200s...

opinions?

experience with both?

please share!

i would go with cdj200's cuz its has better features and its easy to use but easy to brake too. cdj100's have less features but dont brake as easly as 200's

for give the noob - but what do you mean by brake?

as in stop the music suddenly?

CDJ 200 has .02 pitch while the 100 has .05 , so not a very hard decision. If the 200s are too expensive I'd go for the 500 instead. at least it loops.

If you do some searching you can find some deals on the 200.. I ordered mine for 298 each online. Arriving today

I've messed around on 100's and I actually own 200's and I can easily say go with the 200's. Better pitch control, nice effects, and it's really not much more expensive at all for what you're getting (besides they look better aesthetically). You can shop around too and find them for under 300, so all in all, 200's for sure.

i wouldn't suggest getting those. they're pretty old and dated. there's nothing really wrong with them though, they do the job, but still they're quite old. i've heard that the jog wheel is annoying on them too. and like all old players they only have 0,1% pitch accuracy. i'd invest in something else.
