I dread to think what this turd is banging out nowadays and calling techno

mate - the mix was a solid hour and 20mins of techno alright. It was full of Hertz style stuff etc.

Did you know that he runs a techno night in london from time to time? think he had has jeff mills and jel ford etc playing at it. Its called Blue.

Andy is doing another techno mix for me so so you can tune in the next time an see for yourself.

I've seen him 2 or 3 times over the years, always been a bog standard hard house DJ thats just thrown in a few techno records here and there
"if all else fails, just play some techno, everyone will think you're really cutting edge"

Fergie used to play shite hard house too, but he's changed. No need to be so closed minded.

I've nothing against dj's changing stles, but farley did play some of the most insulting music known to man. Good on him for trying to better himself..

so ur saying that just cause a dj is known for playing a certain style of music hes not allowed to play different styles

so because fergie has hopped onto every major bandwagon in the last 4 years, I'm close minded?

Sleepydragon, of course not, there should be no boundaries when DJing. Unless you're one of a long line of shit hard house DJ's that now play techno cos they think it's cool

So changing from hard house to techno is hopping on every major bandwagon? I love techno and was very sceptical before I saw him a year ago but was impressed by what he played, and have seen him again since and was even more impressed. People change - are you telling me you have the same tastes now as you did 5 years ago - I doubt it.

hard house to techno, to swedish mafia, to minimal etc...
it's not just one bandwagon
I don't have the same tastes no, but then they're not drastically different, I've just stopped listening to certain things. Like Fergie and Andy Farley

Shame, because Fergie is well worth checking these days.

andy farley playing techno!ha!

speaking of fergie he has a new tune called "ken the men"

Ken The Men sounds like the bastard son of Plastikmans Spastic and Alter Egos finest moments from the 90s Harthouse era. It heads straight for the middle of 21st century dancefloors for a rawkus journey through heavy percussion and dischordant synth stabs, chucking in the odd breakdown for good measure.

Fergies own remix keeps the basics of the original, but toughens up the bassline for a chunkier outing peppered with hi-end drum rolls. Also on the package is a stunning rerub from rising tech stars, Tolfrey & Sylvester. Fresh from their recent outing on Crosstown Rebels, they strip down Ken The Men into a pulsating m*****l epic that sounds like an illicit three-way between Pac Man, a modem and an Atari.

not a big fergie fan myself but that "bastard son of Plastikmans Spastic has me interested

i dont know where all this has came from - i dont think Andy is jumping on a techno bandwagon! He still plays hard dance but likes the odd techno set and production - is that a crime? Like i say the guy runs a techno night ocassionally and does some techno productions - his techno sets are entertaining and full of energy as you would expect from a hard dance dj. - liaten to one of his techno sets before you judge - you might like it!
