In defense of faith, and I know its rather cliche to say, but you cannot base a faith upon its followers. I am not muslim, but have read some of their holy scriptures, and I do not think that the events happened today are what the originators of the faith had in mind.

If anything, I think the abuse of power is to blame here. Lets be honest, I know I will get shit on for this, but the Muslims have a right to be pissed off. Not about the cartoons persay, but about how they get raped in so many ways from the powerful western cultures. Take Iraq as example, the French only wanted to support them as money was tied up in oil, the US wanted to liberate them only b/c they wanted that oil. No one cares for them and everyone wants to have a piece like a virgin on prom night.
