join my initiative for better vocal songs! replies appreciated..
introduction:
as you know todays trance is different than trance was for example before 2001 and many people say trance was better in the earlier days - but I'm not one of them! I like todays trance but I also like songs from the past, especially vocal songs, which very much differ from songs from today. you wouldn't find such songs today, in this style, at least they are very rare, what is a shame, because everyone here will agree that this songs are huge.
these vocal songs weren't cheasy, they hadn't pointless lyrics and they wasn't blamed to be pop, as many vocals today.
my idea:
let's point out the difference between vocal songs from the past and vocals songs today (keep in mind that I also like todays vocals, but I like vocal songs from the past at least as much as todays).
our aim should be to make producers contemplative and to hope that they consider our wish when they go in their studio to produce because it's not someone opinion, but the opinion on the biggest trance board, called tranceaddict.
I will now list vocals from the past and from today, your job is to add vocal songs from the past, too, which you think were great. if you want you can also add tracks from today, to show the difference..

The biggest difference to me is that most vocal trance today is made for off peak tunes. Earlier vocal trance was made for peak tunes with huge breakdowns and supersaw sounds. Which is better? All depends on the DJ and his track selection.

Hi there...
I appreciate your sentiments. Maybe you would like a track that Armin Van Buuren recently opened his episode 237 with...
Running by Supersaw featuring Veronica Start...
I'm a vocalist so obviously I hope vocal content becomes a bit more popular in the near future.
I don't have a link to send you for the song but if you search the episode, the song comes right after the first song, which is Radiohead.
big love
Veronica
