[Trance] Vast Vision - Taiga

Yeuj, new track from me, its a sample of my latest production. Finally a new fresh original production by me. Its a lush uplifting trance with some nice acids, a catchy simple main lead and more.

I hope you guys like it .

it's more of a melodic production from you this time in my opinion, i love everything in the track, quality production for sure, i only miss that extra touch from the melody, i could say "yeah it's amazing", like i said on your mindphased - restless remix!

still a very good track mate, great bassline and acidlines,

keep up the excellent work,

cheers,

Peter

tnx mycron i personally like the melody in combination with the bass and the arps

this one is full of banging energy, good work on that ! Sounds really epic here

The melody after the break didn't make me go "woohoo" but it's really good nevertheless.

Hey Stino,

This is one clear sounding production. I love all the sounds you used in it. Kick is superb, bassline is driving, leadsound is original and sweet. However the track lacks a hook, a good melody which sticks in the brain. The leadsection itself almost sounds more like a build up and the breakdown is rather thin.

For the rest though the track is a spot on top notch production.

Cheers!

nice work, although the melody didn't appeal me much.

Posted by Stino on Mar-06-2006 19:32:

mixed reactions on the melody...hmm :P, taste i gues, i tried to do something different then usual with the bass chord progression.

Overall great, but I'm not fond of the melody..
..sorry man

Posted by Stino on Mar-06-2006 21:19:

ok im changing the melody, new sample soon :P

Posted by Stino on Mar-06-2006 23:09:

ok updated the link to the new main melody sample , the main synth still has to be tweaked some (too much release and stuff i think, not sure, u tell me). What melody was better :P, this one, or the other one

Easy answer, new melody beats the old one hands down. The hook is now a lot better. Well done mate the rest of the production is fingerlickingly good and with this melody it is a lot easier to remember the track.

Cheers!

haha tnx mate

WTF is with that picture?

listening:

nice drive, drowny kick.. break has a descent synth.. after the break the bass is totally gone.. seems like every sound is fighting for a frequency position.. and the melody is far from memorable

i think this track needs to have its low end reworked.. as the bass and kick are hardly present.. the clap is just no sitting in the mix..

i dont know with what or how u are listening but mixing wise this is my best track so far...

Stijn,

Good track:

- good mix
- Melody is better as in your first snippet
- Nice effects and percussion, could be a bit more driving i think
- You have a real own unique sound!

thumbs up for this one

Keep it up.

Hey.... I think that the track is really cool. Youve got an original style which makes you stand out from the mass of trance producers. I liked really much the way the main melody was eq:ed to fit the track. As Subtle said the kick could just be little bit louder and have little bit more bottom end ( maybe in the 70-100 hz section ). Great production, all the sounds are crisp and clear.

Cheers, Lakeus

good to hear that i got my own style going on

Quality. All the way through.

I'm thinking Stijn/Icone collaboration.

Review

Intro - brilliant squares and percussion elements, kick is sharp, percussion is great, effects are cool. Bass is middy and sharp, arrangement is great.

Breakdown - Breakdown is nice, pads and atmoshpere, i like the bass intro here, nice variation. lead seems a slight bit boring with no variation but then again the track is nice and simple. kick in is great and when the squares kick back in the lead and elements sounds good together, it keeps the variation up.

Outro/Other - nice ourto, filtering and timing is good, i like where the kick misses a beat, little effect are always the best imo.

Conclusion/Other - great mastering, effects and overall make of the tune. Sample is definetly a keeper. Keep up the great work
