COSMIC GATE in Calgary

I am thinking of coming to Calgary to see them. I've never been to a show at the Warehouse. What's it like? It is like a bar scene or more like a rave? Do you think there will there be lots of people at this show?

Any advice would be appreciated. Oh and I'd be missing Infected Mushroom in Winnipeg to see Cosmic Gate...

ive been to the wharehouse a few times, its ok, good size open room. They have had alot of big acts play there.

If you really want a Trance weekend....Cosmic Gate on Friday in Calgary and AvB in Edmonton the next night.

Has anyone seen the Warehouse since the renos...how's the new DJ booth?

its great. Where the stage was(couches/ravers danced) is now the DJ booth. DJ only. No groupies allowed (not even me!) What used to be the DJ booth is now a VIP area, which so far seems to be "club regulars" So call it VIP or whatever, its a couch and a bar to lean on.

As for sound, the bass bins near the bar are gone, and that area has been redone (same style, just refinished). Last friday I thought it sounded good while I was in back drinking my face off. On saturday when I was up front dancing, it didnt sound so great, kind of crackly, but who knows maybe will just needs new needles.

Booth/lighting/decor gets a thumbs up from me.

Not me.. I'd rather see Infected Mushroom Live.. (as they seem to be doing mostly Live acts)... Cosmic Gates sound is a bore to me nowadays.. IMO.

Warehouse sounds good.. Might have to check out the new layout... Perhaps a "Welcome Back J-Spot" Party??

that would be one hell of a weekend. I think id go with cosmic gate, but then again psy trance and dnb are my absolute pet peevs.
