KLEMS + RICHARD GALE - 'DEIMOs ANOMALY' (DEEP rmx)

hey guys.

after the success of my rmx of klems vs miss liloo - 'fixup' being played on the 'club-elite-sessions' radio show by m.i.k.e, me and my friend from france decided to do a overseas collaberation.

each of us made certain parts that fitted to our predetermined bassline. we didnt know the style we were looking for..

here is my 'deep' remix of our track. the original is now on ta aswell..

my rmx is deep and progressive. carrying on in the style of 'phobos anomaly' and 'fixup' - but using all of the main parts me and klems made..

klems and richard gale - deimos lab (rich dub mix)

intro nice

like the way the kick comes in and percs are good

nice progression up to the breakdown love than pad sitting in the background

3:58 loved it. reminds me of M.I.K.E.

really nice track mate

this has bags of potential

what vst's you using? those sounds really put emotion in the track

Here Here...

Perfect kick... the bassline is truly a bassLINE which I find unique in my ears.

Very sweet vibe, groove, mixing topography. Excellent work. Can't complain...

Almost minimalistic... techy with a dream feel. Just what the doctor ordered.

Hey Rich!
I'm very excited, listening now...

Very nice sounds, I like that bassy pad in the break, reminds me of tone/washed.
Percussions sounds great and it's very much your style.
It's very dreamy and has alot of atmosphere.
Kick fits so nice.
Very good arrangement.

You two got something big here!
Can't wait to the original version!

Good luck with it and keep it up!
//Alexander

Hey Rich,

Now this is easily your biggest track so far. In my opinion you always had a talent for good ideas when it came to creating an atmosphere for a track but your tracks lacked a good kick and good percussions. So what do you get when you finally do get a good kick and good percussions in your track? THIS!

This is a splendid progressive track mate, M.I.K.E could have produced it himself. I enjoyed the whole ride and you are really progressing as a producer mate. No negative comments whatsoever on this piece. You'd deserve to get this track signed at a progressive label!

Cheers,

Nomen Nescio

woh guys!

cheers!!

im really happy with the result and cant wait till the original is ready! klems put together most of those nice percs.. i just added some efx to some of them using pretty much all cubase had to offer as far as efx are concerned.

kane:- there is klem's korg 8000 his virus (i belive - not sure if klems used his virus for any of the parts he sent me) the steinberg a1, vangard and some of my old technics and yamaha portasound keyboard

the virus will be in the orig im sure

glad you all liked it mates.

i cant wait till you finish on the original klems!

Listening

Nice chordy FX at the start - kick is solid too, and the clap is pure sex.
Nice raspy FX too - and driving percs in the background...good atmosphere coming here.
I think I am hearing a sub-bass, could be wrong though, in my opinion the song could do with an off-beat bassline to help drive the track along.
At the melody now...its quite simple yet effective.

Overall a cool song, perhaps could do with some more drive (open hi-hats are your friends ). Good job RichyDAWG.

Posted by richg101 on Mar-10-2006 11:42:

yo king richard

thanks mate.

i know a nice driving bassline will probably add some better drive. im gonna up the sub bass track and add some more sidechaining to it - subtley tho! maybe that might work? increace the ratio a bit i think.. and add some midbass eq aswell.

the original should do the things that this one doesnt. there are a few layers i made for it that i didnt use in this version. and klems has a knack of arranging tracks with a nice drive..

thanks again matey!

By the way, that scarf that you have on should be destroyed, along with the person who designed it.

Very nice work really!! I like really much the atmosphere of the track. All of the cold synthetic sounds work really well in the track!! Nothing really to complain, the beat is good and the occassional percussions add a nice twist to the track... This is original stuff!! Great!!

Cheers, Lakeus

yeah rich i think this is the best stuff you've come up with yet..got some great percussions in there and a proper MIKE clap ..love the subtle pads coming in and the drone underneath sounds good..

nice arpy/guitar sounds in the middle-like how he bassline alternates when the kick comes back and whole track builds up nicely after that..love your style again Rich!

Posted by richg101 on Mar-11-2006 11:12:

thanx adam

glad you enjoyed!

most of the percs are from klem's input into the track. they work wonders for the drive imo.

make sure you check the original when its finished completely. it ll be nice im sure!

cheers mate!

Posted by Majutsu on Mar-12-2006 06:02:

that sounds great. I'm a noob, but how do you get drums that sound like that? I mean, I have to go to the hardware store tomorrow to get a new pane of glass for the window in my den, but I enjoyed the song very much anyway

Posted by richg101 on Mar-13-2006 15:32:

*bump*

thanks majustu

glad you enjoyed!

most drums are made by klems and some are samples. i used my technics workstation keyboard for some of the percs.. with bitcrushing, and other efx aplied. the kick is just a really slow kick that has been compressed and eq'd to my liking so it slapps a bit.

rich

edit - ill post the update tonight

Posted by iloop on Mar-13-2006 22:49:

starts off rather slowly, but then evolves into some proggy sounding peak hour stuff... Likin that bassline and the whole melodic vibe has a lot of atmosphere that keeps the song full and engaging
good job.

Posted by richg101 on Mar-13-2006 23:39:

thanx mr infinity

glad you enjoyed. just wait till klems finishes the original!! itll probably blow this rmx out the water...
