Hernan Cattaneo
What do you guys think about him? I'm lately listening a lot of his stuff and over the time his style grown on me. Renaissance Masters Vol2 is a must have for prog addicts...
i only know a couple of his productions but i like them, never tried listening to any of his mixes. you rate him?
I'd give 8ish out of 10
He can be a bit hit and miss sometimes, but when he's on song there really isn't anyone better. His first Renaissance CD is what progressive is all about (deep, ethereal, smooth as fuck) and his five hour set at Room in 2004 was one of the best I've ever witnessed. Would chop off and give away some of the less essential parts of my anatomy to see him out here soon (not at Q-Bar again, though...
).
I was sent this link recently. Havent listened yet but anyway...

As some of you already know this is my absolute all time favourite greatest dj!!. The night at Room still goes down as my best ever night. Q bar was a a bit sad seeing him wandering round with his record bag looking for somewhere to keep playing. I think he is a dj that needs a long set and he's definitely crowd sensitive. I read somewhere he's bringing out another album in May, hopefully one of our promoters will bring him out for this. His name keeps popping up so there must be interest .
I've got heaps of his stuff but my favourite at the moment is a very poorly recorded Moonpark 17.9.04 The vibe is just amazing , the crowd sounds, the whole thing made me want to emigrate. There's also a great moment for us when the crowd goes crazy to Ride. He does a lot of his stuff from the Renaissance 2 album , It has this incredible raw gutwrenching feeling to it. Love it .

not 100% sold on his productions yet... however this guys is one amazing DJ (just IMO) had some of the best nights out when hes been in town and his renaissance cds are always on high rotaion in my crystal set, some of his more recnt radio mixes also have been off the hook....
i too also draw y9our attention to moonpark!!
well i love armin.. but next in line would have to Hernan .. Metro 95.1 Buenos Aires !!!!
This is the Moonpark 17/09/04 as I said, crap recording but great anyway.
