DV vs GKGG/August Bank Holiday
Alrighty coming accross from Aus and dew to the date change of DV think i might only be able to do one of Dance Valley or GKGG, i need your opinions on which to attent to help decide...
Also you guys have a massive party wekeend on the August Bank Holiday or something yeah, Gatecrasher im thinking, can anyone tell me about this weekend, like is there lots of events and do they sell out quick
Any advice would be awesome
Thanks
Blair
dv:
is cheaper
will probably have a better crowd with less chavs (DnB tent at global doesn't help matters)
has better transport to & from the event
has a MINDBLOWING setup on the mainstage (too bad you only get the best of it for about an hour at the end though)
global:
is less foreign
will probably be better for trance (dv's trance tent sucked last year & only pvd/ferry made the mainstage)
lasts longer (goes right through the night on the saturday whereas dv is all done by 11)
has more stuff to do besides the music
if you're making a holiday out of it though i'd say dv, simply because holland is generally cooler to hang out in than here. i'd find some cheap accomodation in amsterdam and stop there for a few nights
as for august bank holiday, i think creamfields normally falls around that time. i don't think anything has been advertised this far in advance yet though, and wouldn't think it would sell out quickly at all
I didn't realise the DV only went through the day, that sucks a little bit, but im hoping i can pull of both events....can you reccomend any other mindblowing events that ore on from july onwards
did Dance Valley for the first time last year and it completely pissed all over global.
infinitietly better vibe/atmosphere
I did global last year and was one of the best festivals I've ever done. The trance tent was going off from the 1st minute we arrived until 5am.

GKGG gets worse every year
DV always comes up with the goods.
Not that it matters as DV is now in July, which means in clashes with the Love Parade i envision a hardcore weekend though...
didnt really enjoy the whole GKGG thing with it being split over two days, kinda didnt work, camping in the Midlands of the UK isnt quite right in my opinion
hey guys im also planning on going to Global gathering but i just want to know how long does it take to get back to london from stratford?
is it easier to catch a train to birmingham and catch another train to stratford or catch a train straight to stratford?
and another thing if my flight leaves london on sunday evening will i have enough time to get back to london get my stuff and make it to heathrow airport and catch my flight home???

getting the train from london takes about 2 hours or so.. providing there are no stuff-ups along the way!
Def DV one of the most high quality festivals in the world. Too bad DV and GG aren't b2b like last year it does make a good combo.
