RATE : Glow/Fur in DC (thinking about going tonight for FERRY)
was thinking about going there tonight but i have never been there before...just wondering if it was a good club...i do not think it will be anything like crobar...but is it remotely close...or does it suck...
get there early- it will be a long line!
fur has really improved. this is where glow is held every saturday, and the only thing i can really say that sucks about it is the staff. the sound system is pretty tight, dance floor adequate...you should definitely have a good time.
i'm a regular
what time do they close...and if i get tickets from wantickets.com do i still have to wait in line...or do i get right to the front like at crobar...really want to see him before he leaves the states...

The sleaze balls over there close at 3:46am or some bullshit like that so if you're a used to NY late closing hours then you might not be pleased. Also besides the staff the crowd is a turn-off aswell since people there are clueless about even knowing who the DJ is. Turst its worse than Corbar but minus those little italian gudios but instead you get annyoing arabs.

It is a very mixed crowd. And the venue and sound is very nice. You will have a blast. That is where I cought Ferry for my second time. First time was in Philly at Emerald City so that doesn't really count. |
I'm leaving my house in about 30 min or so to head down there
Got some people to pick up along da way

Fur isn't the nicest club in the world, but it does the job. I've certainly been to much worse.
If you value your hearing, bring ear protection. There's some spots on the dance floor where the bass will destroy your eardrums.
That all being said, I'm wicked psyched for Ferry tonight.

haha i just called my gf there, could barely hear anything but he just got done playing
Solar Stone feat JES- Like A Waterfall
ridiculous nite... sad how it ended tho.... PA system just cutoff and it sounds like he was telling us that he couldn't get it back on... it's like someone just pulled the plug on him
great set up till that point tho... i just WISHED he played some of the tracks he did in ibiza a couple years ago when i saw him... his system F stuff, punk, etc... that old school stuff
o well, fun nite regardless... i just got back haha
The amp died
They recorded the set too :P
It seems like I've been seeing the same dj's over and over again, but ferry's set was a breath of fresh air. I enjoyed every minute of it! Track of the night I think would have to go to Dogzilla - Without You... crowd was really going crazy at this point.
The sound died? sketchhhhhh....
airbase - escape
1st time hearing it live, sick tune.
I have only been there once. I am surely not going back anytime soon. YMMV.

A bit late for the Ferry show but: FUR blows donkey ass.
Erin, you know I love you, but I think the only reason you like it so much is b/c you get free drinks and you spend most of your time there in the DJ booth.
The ONLY cool person that works there is Jimmy and he doesn't work for the club, he is just at the door. The rest of the staff are unprofessional morons. The sound system is horrid. The crowd is annoying at best, but is usually full rowdy lowbrow assgoblins. Drinks are overpriced, and unless you know someone, you will wait a longass time in line.
That's my $0.02
