Versatile, durable, cheap CD mixer...

So I'm headed to Iraq in June and am finally putting some action into the long overdue task of learning how to mix. I figure I'll have plenty of time to practice so carpe diem and all that shit. I debated going with traditional tables but opted for CD mixers because they're more portable and because I highly doubt I'll have many options as far as records stores go in Mosul My question is what would some of you recommend as a versatile, durable and (fairly) cheap cd table and mixer platform to learn on? I'll be checking ebay and am looking to stay around $500 for the tables and mixer. I'm also gonna check out Virtual Turn Tables but I don't think you can totally replicate some things so I'm leaning towards a CD mixer. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks

Try get 2 Pioneers CDJ-100's and a 2 channel mixer,
Make an effort finding the Cdj's on ebay, a mixer shouldn't be so hard to find

why buy a pioneer 100s used for 200 when on ebay it should be cheaper, especially since a 100 retails for 300 new. In any event the 100s is probably my favorite table top cd player for under 300 the rest are either unreliable or take forever to load a cd.
