A very tough identification

You'll need to have a Ph.D. in trance to help me with this one, but here goes:

1) It was featured on a Dr. Trance mixtape from 1999. The first time I heard this track was at a halloween party in October of 1999. I assume the track was released around that time.

2) The song sounds A LOT like "O Fortuna" from Carmina Burana but they are not the same song. The lyrics & melodies are different but the feel is similar. It's definitely "opera-ish" but gloomy, perfect for a release prior to halloween.

3) Other tracks featured on this Dr. Trance mixtape were: Quicksilver - Cosmophobia, Yaz - Situation, Grace - Not Over Yet, Tact - Sweet Dreams '99.... if that helps at all.

Anyone able to figure out what this track may be? I've seriously been searching for this for about 6 years & unfortunately I do not have a sample anywhere as I lost that mixtape in 2000.

I know the feeling of trying to ID old tunes which play on your mind for years - you can hear them in your head but can't get the bastards out. I got one on my mind right now which is driving me nuts. Anyway, no PhD here that's for sure and this is certainly a challenge. So I'll put my hard earned on E Nomine - Vater Unser. The choir thingy in O Fortuna has such a resemblance in parts and there were a couple of decent dance mixes around '99. There's a great beer commercial here in Australia which uses the O Fortuna bit - bloody awesome! I can't nominate a mix though but I'll go a searchin. One of my favourite parts of this forum.

Oh yeah, this site may help:

I can't speak German though
