SvD-PUNKD (richard gale rmx) for the 'PIMP' contest....

here is the finished product for my entry to the spinnin records 'pimp my track' comp.

i added some subtle percs and thickened the bass a bit.

its a filthy tune. my filthiest infact. low quality so it dont affect any small chance i may have of getting released on spinnin LOL.....

tell me what ya think guys!

I havent heard the original and don't produce this kind of music so my comments won't help you much but I'll give it a crack.

Despite the low quality it sounds good, something quite fresh from when trance died out in my music tastes, a track like this would have kept me listening at the time. I like the sounds in the back (couldn't tell you what they were ) throughout the track. The bass is great also. A very well produced piece too.

Sounds great to me, very best of luck with it.

Hi Rich.
I think that you do know what i think about this already, but it could be said twice

Amazing percs, great groove.
I love that mysterious synth thats fading in around 1:40. It has so much
atmosphere. It's great during the break.
Break is really mysterious.

The track fits great with a long break in the middle of it.

The only thing, again, is the punk vocal. I think that you could reveal
it a little more. Maybe a timestretch in the break?
Something like this maybe " yoouuure puuuunkeedd " ?

I wish you good luck

//Alexander

yo speactra.

cheers for checking the update

i did make the vocal a bit louder in the mix.. i should have done a timestretch in the break - i forgot to do something like that..

damn..

cheers mate

I was quite curious what you made of those 3 samples
ow man I love this filthy bassline
gives me that underground club fealing, I would definatly be floating away when hearing this in a club

one remark tho (I'm a noob producer so I shouldn't make remarks)
I don't really like the way you bring in the kick in the beginning

and for my personal flavor, (as a fan of this music) I'd like that filthy bassline 20% louder
cheerz, drop a link where we can buy the record or give us a high quality version cuz I'd like to put it in a mix

thanx shifty.

your comments are nice

especially the ones about underground clubs!

people have said about the bass needing a bit of uppage.. i only knew about it after sending the track to spinnin..

it sounds pretty balanced tho..

cheers for checking it out!

its such a good build up
percussion is real nice

this is sweet stuff man. I agree that the bass line is cool. It's a bit more chill, unlike a lot of people's remixes which is a good thing. btw what do you use to produce? Good luck to you!
Andy
