F&*k!!!

I lost my fucking wallet

I left it in a yellow cab on sunday night! Now I had to go file a lost property report with the police. Taxi's are supposed to turn it into the closest Police Station when they find it. I was in the backseat, what if they didn't find it??

I leave Melbourne tomorrow too! It had all my personal stuff in there, even my travel insurance from Canada, and not too mention I had all my bank details on a small card in it too!!! Important business cards, ID, (thank God I don't have any credit cards), pics, even momentos from places I've been in Canada and here in AU!

You know, I believe in Karma... and the night I lost my wallet, I was in the bar, and I found some keys on the ground, and gave them in to the bar manager... I can only hope someone's done the same with my wallet. When things go wrong, things really go wrong.. I hope this is as bad as it gets *kneels and prays*

I am very sad and upset

i lost my wallet last week at a gig as well. or in the taxi. I'm not sure. Skulling a bottle of red wine before going out did not help the situation.

I feel your pain.

my wallet won't be returned, as all my id cards have false addresses on them. so when i get harrased by police, the fines get sent elsewhere.

it seems guys r more likely to lose them in back of cabs bcoz their pockets are too big. how did u pay driver tho? didnt u need ur wallet in ur hand?

poor thing

Did you loose much money? i almost lost my wallet when i went down to VW one day, luckily i found it

unlucky!

to be honest I wouldnt really trust the cab driver to turn it in, had this happen to my wallet once. A woman rang me who caught the cab later and picked it up, said the cab driver looked too shifty to give it to him. Very nice woman, and a big biiig relief.

actually one night i got a phone call from some random saying my friend had left her handbag in the back of a cab, phone and everything was in there, she gave me the her number to call her to collect the bag. When i got a hold of my friend we rang the number and the cab driver wouldnt let her keep the bag, we then rang the cab company and they denied all of it so some bloody cabbie kept it

My friend paid for the cab... I withdrew $100, 5 minutes before we went into Icon, and I'll consider myself lucky I got to drink all my money away before anyone had a chance to find it!

I took my wallet out of my pocket to show my friend a business card I got from someone I met in the bar. I musta put it down on the seat beside my camera. I picked my camera up, because it was shiny and visible... my wallet unfortunately is small, thin and dark It usually goes right back into my pocket because it's so unnoticable.

Damn Sonny, you make me LOL

I'm still in a state of unrest. I barely slept last night, tossed and turned til like 3am. My mind was going in circles... praying for some good sleep tonight... although.. it's already 2:45am

damn straight it can only improve things, any situation always seems better after a bottle or two of wine

sorry to hear about your wallet morty, i once lost my wallet at the royal melbourne show on one of the rides. i never thought i would get it back and then i get called to reception at school and one of the ladies hands me my wallet. there are honest people out there that do good deeds hopefully one of these people found your wallet. have you called icon to see if anyone handed it in?

Posted by MiSSyM on Mar-15-2006 07:10:

That is sad to hear. I can so understand what its like to lose your i.d, keycard & money!

Posted by Mortyman on Mar-16-2006 10:34:

There's no way Icon would have it! We caught the cab there... but was dropped off in Clifton Hill.

I'm back in Sydney now but the good thing is I had already renewed my Drivers License and Health card and whatnot... so when I got back here, I had all my ID again

I don't expect to get it back now.

BTW, I love Melbourne! You guys sure know how to party and can't wait to move there in a few months Reminded me sooo much of Vancouver
