I need help buying a bike!

I want to buy a bike.

It has been about 6 years since I've owned one, and now that I want one, it seems to be massively more complicated than it used to be.

So... Apparently, my dimensions are very important to my comfort with the dimensions on a bike.

Does anyone know about all of this?

I am about 5 feet, 2 inches tall. I am not sure what exactly my torso is, or how long my legs are.

Pink Floyd - Bike

I've got a bike
You can ride it if you like
It's got a basket
A bell that rings
And things to make it look good
I'd give it to you if I could
But I borrowed it

You're the kind of girl that fits in with my world
I'll give you anything
Everything if you want things

I've got a cloak
It's a bit of a joke
There's a tear up the front
It's red and black
I've had it for months
If you think it could look good
Then I guess it should

You're the kind of girl that fits in with my world
I'll give you anything
Everything if you want things

I know a mouse
And he hasn't got a house
I don't know why
I call him Gerald
He's getting rather old
But he's a good mouse

You're the kind of girl that fits in with my world
I'll give you anything
Everything if you want things

I've got a clan of gingerbread men
Here a man
There a man
Lots of gingerbread men
Take a couple if you wish
They're on the dish

You're the kind of girl that fits in with my world
I'll give you anything
Everything if you want things

I know a room full of musical tunes
Some rhyme
Some ching
Most of them are clockwork
Let's go into the other room and make them work

I can help!!!!!

I can help, but i will need to consult with Mason. We will get a contingency plan happening.

Let me just start by stating this: ............well let me start by posting a picture.

It is really important that we do this properly. You shouldnt rush buying this bike.

Theresa, please do not purchase a bike without the advice of Xeno and I. First step is to establish a frame to rubber ratio appropriate for a person of your hair color. Xeno and I are flying in rich venture capitalist Jewish folk from New York to assist us with our endeavor. I suppose the first question is if you had to make a ring, would it be circular or ovular? Being a woman Xeno and I have presupposed youd decide upon a completely irrelevant choice that infuriates men and makes their lives worse: ovulatulor. I do not want to reveal too much, but before you make a choice please wait until Xeno and I deliver unto you the appropriate synergy focuses. As a Preferred Client you get 43 Xtrem points redeemable at any Xenosam outfitter, make sure you bring a pair of scissors and the foreskin you *last* cut with them. Again, as our client we want to reiterate that we have YOUR best interests in mind.

We all recall the Theresas New Sig fiasco. I do not want to point fingers at Xenocreator for his absolute failure to create a sig for you, so Ill have to be a bit cryptic and sidestep the reason we decided not to present you with your new sig. Also, we did receive your inquiries as to why your checks were being cashed even though we didnt deliver the promised product. We have since then incorporated the Sarbanes-Oxley act so future issues like that will not occur. We fired our CFO to prove to you that were moral and have YOUR best interests in mind. You can rest easy, however, with the knowledge that your checks allowed Xenosam productions to strategically acquire a 1953 Foosball table for our cafeteria made from a rare tree that a noble South American tribe fought to the death to protect all the while screaming, our children are in there!

We will have a response to you shortly, please hold off on this momentous decision until weve contacted you.

-The Xenosam Team

P.S. Ive billed 4.2 hours to your account for this message.

We at Xenosam understand what you need. Let me expand on some key points that Mason has hot pudding and ice creamed apon us.

I can not lie to you Theresa, what Mason is saying is true. With the money i purchased a massive shed in which i started breeding smoking chickens. Day after day I feed them cigarettes in hope that one day, in the near future, they would develop a cancer that would grow & get bigger & eventually transform into the best sig know to man & chicken. Unfortunately I spent too much time with the chickens & became good friends with one particular chicken named Flenkar. With your best interests still in mind Flenkar decided to try and escape the confines of his shed prison & ended up in my oven by accident and I accidently ate him. Your sig was in his lungs at the time he was being eaten. We must remember Flenkar not just as a smoking chicken, but as a great tasting chicken with pepper gravy. Mason & myself ended up buring Flenkar next to the grave of the 1953 Foosball executives & our ex CEO .... i might have said too much, back onto this new business

As you can see above, Mason is describing a SUPER BIKE. It will be the BEST bike ever, and the even betterer thing is that the Xenosam company will make you this SUPER BIKE!

But please give us a little time, super bikes can not be made in just a day. They take precise calculations with the help of organic appendages that have been grown from the freshest water mammals. The Xenosam team will explore Areodynamics by capsulating a mass of small people from the Ukrain and dunking them in squid ink for long periods of time before turning them upside down and reading to them the anglo saxon scripts of the Apocalypse of Esdras; hence shaping their minds into something that will be inspirational enough for them to explain to us the meaning of the word 'circular' and it's effect on the female species.

Theresa, having been a partner in the Xenosam firm I firmly believe I am the most abilitated in my suggesting that you do not want to deal with them.

The Xenosam firm has swindled me for $ 4 500 000 which I was supposed to acquire in the form of bonds and titles in the firm. Right before the proceeding and transfer of said titles, Xenosam's owners dumped all their stocks making the market value of what I was supposed to receive drop to a mere $ 15 000.

My life savings are gone. And they are now cashing in on the money they stole from me. I wish slow death to both of them while their hearts get pulled out with small golden spoons

In regards to your proceeding in the purchase and development of a bicycle I believe you must develop an independent plan that shall not be under any negative outside influence.

For best acquisition of said bicycle I recommend you establish a firm budget and that you do your best to hold to it despite what the market may try to get out of you.
Secondly you must determine your said riding style be it offroad, track, speed, colourful or corny.
Thirdly you must tryout said bicycle before proceeding with any purchase for higher chance of fit and satisfaction for you.

Best of luck with all your dealings. But remember avoid these crack swindling crooks Xenosam. It is for your best that I am telling you this.

You can contact me on my mobile cellular phone in the Republic of Nigeria if you wish to do business dealing with me.

Mugu,

KONA or bust

Posted by RandomGirl on Mar-14-2006 18:57:

Well the bike shop I have been eyeing bikes at specialize in Norco and Brodie bikes.

I looked through their catologues, and I like the Norco bikes better, (aesthetically). I asked a friend about it, and he said that the lighter in weight the bike is, the better, especially considering my size.

Does anyone have any other info?
