[TranceAddict Friendly!] Allied Nations - Bad Luck - March 13th, 2006

Hey guys, Got a new mix for you... this one is generally more suited towards the proggy ish tranceyish side of the spectrum so some of the people who haven't enoyed my mixes in the past may enjoy this one a lot more. I tried to pick really solid solid tunes, so let me know how i did! Couple of the mixes were ever so slightly off... but you'll live.

I named it Bad luck because traditionally in latin america, Tuesday the 13th is the bad luck day, rather than friday the 13th.. :P

1. Andy Stott - Replace
2. Ada - Each and Everyone (Blind House)
3. Brightlight - Brickwall Baby
4. Anja Schneider - Creaky Thoughts
5. Guido Schnerider meets Jens Bond - Oh My Buffer
6. Iaqui Marin - El Extrao
7. Guy Gerber and Sahar Z - Kenny's Back (Mike Monday Remix)
8. Minilogue - Spam
9. Space Manoeuvres - Quadrant Four (Furry Nipples Mix)
10. Jimmy Van M & Young American Primitives ft. Terra Deva - Forget Time
11. Stroud - Chobru (Can Costa & Paul Mix)
12. Marc O Tool - Passenger 2.0

LINK!

Cheers,

Allied Nations

Nice set, i've listened to it once and noticed only one slight beatmaching slip up. If its trance-ish, then i CAN enjoy trance, who knew ?

From the variety of your sets, it shows that you are constantly searching for your own unique sound, good luck with that!

oh and that "massive attack " tune is nice

Will review later..

tight mixing! Loved the minimal-ish opening to it, but hey, I've been on a minimal kick as of late. I'm on Creaky Thoughts right now and haven't found a problem yet

Really tight mixing for the most part G.. Great progression/buildup throughout the set IMO... but like usual, I just can't seem to get into the style you're spinning lately..

Shoot me a PM with a reply to my psy set..

just finished listening to this... was PERFECT mood music for gettin' me to focus on getting work done early this morning instead of wasting time on TA, lol. anyway i really dig this mix, Greg. i didn't recognize most of the tracks which was really nice. it kept me entertained the entire way though... just when i thought it might be getting boring a few times, you brought in a song that totally picked it right back up and kept the flow moving in an energetic yet chilled manner. the programming is great and the mixing is good, there were a few mixes that could have been better but overall it sounded very smooth and clean. the intro was great, as well as the last song - i think it worked very well as a set ender.

i also really liked the vocal tracks you used, especially the 2nd track!

great job, i will definitely be listening to this many more times.

hey, hey... settle down girls, there's enough DJs for all of us!

btw Greg i listened to your mix 3 times yesterday... i'm lovin' it!! it's really refreshing to be able to download a quality mix of a genre of music that i listen to quite a bit, yet almost every track in the mix is new to me... instead of the same songs that are pounded out in 1982473 DJ's promos.

Because it isnt there.. the track "Guy Gerber and Sahar Z - Kenny's Back (Mike Monday Remix)" samples the portishead tune.. It's an older tune, 2002...

i was listening to this mix at 4am this morning as i was driving home recovering from a bit too much wine at dinner the night before. it was just what the doctor ordered. didn't fix my head but didn't make it any worse either
