How would you rate DJs?
I think it's not fair how DJs are rated nowdays. In my opinion, headliners need to be separated into three or more categories (e.g. house, trance and techno) and then get their ratings within their category. Due to the fact that the Europeans and Asians are crazy about trance, we're seeing all the trancers occupying top 10 spots meaking virtually impossible for djs who specialize in House music to get to the top 3. Personally, that's how I would rate dj
House Trance
1. Steve Lawler 1. Ferry Corsten
2. Nic Fanciulli 2. Armin Van Buuren
3. Desyn Masiello 3. Tiesto
4. Hernan Cattaneo 4. Markus Schulz
5. Deep Dish 5. Johan Gielen
i personally see no reason for this.
dont we have enough DJ polls already?
PS. can u belive taht DJ rap won for the female DJ list?

I can see where you're going with this but I think you should just spend your time looking for new, interesting music rather than worrying about who's #1 or #304.

| Originally posted by AC-Milan According to you, dj polls are waste of time, if #1 and #304 are the same things for you, but it just happens so that the rest of the world cares about ratings and that's why dj mag has them. And, the so called new and interesting music that you were talking about just happens to be created by the djs who are in the top 100, not by someone who is 1672nd place. |

| Originally posted by AC-Milan Ok, then let's not book headliners at all and cancel Masiello's gig on Friday @ TIL and let's DekoZ spin the whole night. According to you, the most talented and best djs are the ones who are unlisted and unheard of by the rest of the world. |
i hope my djs never reach #1.

Remember, DJ Mikey Mike #110
Anyways, you can go to Fly on Friday to see Deko or wherever he's spinning on Friday and I'll go to see Mr. Masiello and hopefully we all have great time and have peace on earth

its people like you who insist on "ranking" djs that are a major downfall of this scene. DJ'ing is and ALWAYS has been about finding new and interestng music to play for the masses. There are far more factors involved with taking DJ's into the top 100. What about how they are marketed???
Don't forget the little guys cuz they are essential to this scene and in noway "less" talented than say a sasha or an armin van buuren.
you can't rate Art
