Is This Bassline OK? (FLP Included)

Been trying to construct kind of a running bassline and this is what I got.

Bassline Sample (Do Not Right Click)

Anyways, I've been combining some 3xosc and wasp to get it. Tell me if it sounds alright to you guys.. Feedback welcome.

Edit:

I've beefed up the bottom and filter out a bit of mids...see if this makes it more complete...btw THANKS a lot for commenting !

Due to request I've also posted an FLP to show how to make a runner.

hmm

I like it.

midbass sounds great, nicely panned out... question is: is the subbass kicking enough? kick is clean and hits nicely, but i think subbass could be beefed up a bit to be louder.

i think it sounds very nice, its a sound i would really be able to use if i made it on my gear

if you want more sub bass, id try ising a diffrent kick drum with more sustain or a slower decay

I'm waiting for the sub-bass to kick in myself.

Otherwise I really like it.

nice...i agree with the other replies about the subbass..perhaps some distortion may help...good stuff!

Sounds great, man. Hurry and finish that track...I love what I'm hearing!

Sounds fine on my headphones, although it's a bit too heavy on the mids, IMO. I've got this strange fear that it'll impede on other elements later in the track.

I got a sub bass to fill in the missing areas. See if the sample is improved.

From what i listened last night? its pretty nice. And you used the 3xOsc! You mind if you post the .flp? of only the bass if you want. And if you dont want to i understand.

I agree.

what vst or hardware did you use to make this?

Posted by BshidoHEAT on Mar-16-2006 21:08:

^ he used an FLS internal synth's wasp and 3xOSC.

Nice bassline, I agree with everyone with the subass thing though.. a little EQ/compression should work well though.

Posted by ronk on Mar-16-2006 21:23:

great bassline, it reminds me of the bassline Airwave used in one of his latest production Symphony Beneath a Summerstorm.
one thing though, compress the kick or boost its volume, because it sounds kinda weak.

btw, I really liked the melody. keep it up

Yeah, I figured I was a bit strong on the mids...I filtered some out and threw in a lower bassline to go with it. See if everything fits well together now. THanks for commenting!

Oh i also uploaded an FLP

I just tried clicking your sample link and it took me to the Microsoft website. I downloaded the flp file though and that is awesome. Like it a lot.

Cheers

seriously nice

Sounds great, but it could've been a lot better with some extra tweaking.
Try making a new FX chan for each bass instrument. That way you can tweak all the frequencies just perfect. You can also add different types of delay.

It would be nice if you made a tutorial on this one. I think many would enjoy it.
