The name of the country is Moldova. Happens to be the poorest country in Europe. Was when I was born. Still is.
I was born in B�l�i (it's on the map). Don't remember much. All I know is that my family lived in the same region for 4 generations (including my own). My great grandparents apparently owned a vineyard but not really. Probably lost it due to us being Jewish or peasants or probably a combination of both.
So yeah. Guess this is a 'Where EXACTLY were you born' thread. Be as specific as you want - divulge some interesting details about the location, too.

in a hospital in calgary, but only because that was the closest hospital around at that time. I spend half my childhood at the University of Calgary Field Station in kananaskis, ab.
