Armin wint Edison!

16.03.2006 - Armin van Buuren wins Edison Award

Last night during the yearly presentation of the Edison Awards, which took place in the Melkweg in Amsterdam, Armin van Buuren won an Edison Award in the category �Dance�.

The Edison is the eldest music award in the Netherlands and is presented since 1960. The award is comparable with the American Grammy Award, the German Echo or the Brit Award. The Edison is presented in the shape of a bronze statue. The jury consist a group of people who have got to do a lot with popmusic by virtue of one�s profession. With a number 3 position in the international DJ Top100, Armin van Buuren is one of the worlds most successful DJ�s at the moment. The first time you�ll see Armin in the Netherlands again, is during Queensnight at the Heineken Music Hall. This will be during a new edition of the Armada Night. This edition also will be the official release party of Armin�s new mix compilation �A State Of Trance 2006�

als thomas wist wat armin met zijn uitvinding deed, draaide ie zich (op de maat van de beat weliswaar) om in zijn graf. ghehe

wel een leuk stukkie erkenning.. de jury van de Edison is niet van enige vakkenis verstoken.. in tegenstelling tot 15 andere "awards" waar je mag betalen om je mening te geven., (over discriminatie gesproken) ghehe

Edison in de categorie dance... Wat was de concurrentie dan? Ik kan me weinig dance albums voor de geest halen van nederlandse artiesten t afgelopen jaar... Shivers is wel een leuk CDtje, maar om nou te zeggen dat het kwalitatief hoogstaand is gaat me wat te ver hehe.

Hoe dan ook, toch leuk om te winnen he

De categorie dance was mondiaal, net als de categorie R&B/Hip-hop...en ik dacht dattie genomineerd was met royksopp en nog 1...
