Upcomming Book - "Learning DSP w/Reaktor"
I have people come up to me asking if there is some tutorial for Reaktor. There seems to be none that really give precise facts and are incomplete. So I have decided to write somthing unthinkable... a Reaktor Tutorial. This book is going to be more of a "Learing DSP" book but using Reaktor so one can learn both together.
The book should be done by summer or sooner. Hope you all will like it when I publish it. Will probably cost around $20 or free depending on how much work it will take.
Enjoy.
sounds cool.. Learned basic DSP before I stated to even jump into synth programing. That halp a lot. I would definetly check your book out.
I would love to use reaktor but not for the synth creation but for the crazy fx...but it seems way to complex.
Well what the book will mainly cover is that all an audio signal is... is a collection of samples "or values" and DSP is how we can mathematically alter those values to give us different results. Most effects are fairly simple in how they work, for instance... a clipper. All it does is look at the incomming value and ask itself if the value is under or over the cliping limit. If the value is over, then it returns the clipping limit, and if it is under, then it returns the signal.
The book will be a good help for people understanding how these things work.
sounds very sweet. Will it have visuals too??
Yes, this book will have black and white visuals and a CD comming with that has video tutorials of each chapter.
Big project ;-)
