Low frequency trance melody

Is there such a thing? Would it work?

Meaning what, exactly?

Posted by nchs09 on Mar-18-2006 01:13:

just turn the volume down...

Instead of a piano, string, or bleep playing the melody of a song having the bass or percussion playing it. Perhaps a tuba mixed bass sound...I dunno. More than likely it will end up as a funky breaks sound of some sort and not trance at all.

So... basically a track without a lead at all?

lol, yah I suppose there are some hard trance/hardcore tunes that could classify what Im thinking but without the heavy bass. I know Im gonna make a fool of myself but here goes anyway. Instead of the classic 4x4 beat through out the whole song take the classic trance sounds like the supersaw, strings, acid beeps, and whatnot and create a hypnotic sound that repeats but continues to add additional elements to the sound making it more complex. Then when the classic entrance of the melody comes in lay down a break beat melody. *shrugs* Kind of like classical music composed giving the percussion the melody and making the strings/brass the equivalent of percussion. Sorry I might just be out of it and bored...

sorry man, such trance doesn't exist. least, not low frequency. trance isn't about low frequency bass. you're going to have to look.....ELSEWHERE

You mean like Trancesetters - Roaches or De Niro - Mind of Man.

There's all sorts of it out there.

basically its simple as he said before there is no lead but just a subtle melodic ryhthm going on.

what about like , Love is stronger that pride.

You can do anything you want; sounds like Sander's stuff.

Low frequencies will cause the track to seem darker and more driving; trance can be anything.

PS: It's house music if your "low frequency lead" isn't a melody.
