Catch their attention with pop, seduce them with Flamenco ...(or just do both with Flamenco depending on the type of woman...)

Can you do dirty tech-house?

Posted by LKD on Mar-18-2006 17:14:

for ur first guitar it may be suggested by everyone to just get anything thats cheap blah blah

but say u get better later and wanna stick with it, then u want a good guitar...

i would buy a washburn cos the sound from those things is mint...alternatively yamaha guitars are actually pretty decent if ur looking for something cheaper

its all about the sound when it comes to acoustic...

washburns are garbage dude...

they're nowhere near the quality of a takemine on the acoustic side...

your best bang for you buck would be going with a tak...

but lkd is right when he says yamaha also makes some great acoustics.

if your looking for a good deal on a second hand guitar, check out the pawn shops at church and queen.

blasphemy....

dude...washburns are great...ive played several acoustics over the past 14 years and nothing imo can match the depth in the sound of a washburn

PS. my sexy electric washburn is def better than ur fender

(based on the assumption that u play guitars, this is what i figure u own upon reading ur prior post)

unless the guitar is worth millions cos john lennon spat on it, dont go for a second hand acoustic unless its passed down by ur dad/uncle/whatever...u get the point

As someone who just got a guitar I am little clueless on how to tune it - do I need some sort of sound meter or something?

OS

well u can tune it by ear

u might want to get the E from a keyboard or something for consistency. but u can just tune on ur bass/6th string (E)

hold the 5th fret on E and u get the 5th string note (A)..tune ur A string on that note.

then repeat the same with the next string and the rest.

the only exception will be when ur tuning the second string. in which case u have to hold the 4th fret of the 3rd string.

just remember 1st string = the higher pitch E and 6th = the bass E
