History of oni0n the c00tie
Used to have an older login but I forgot my username and password so I made my Onion account! Tranceaddict used to be one of my many sources of Trance mp3s before they turned into tightasses... :c
- Always listened to Trance / Acid from about 1992.. but I never knew who the producers were... I didnt really give a shit at the time, I loved what I was listening to.
- A mate on IRC wrote a track using FruityLoops and posted it on mp3.com.au... It was soooooooo fucking shit, I could not believe he would even admit to writing that piece of crap. But then it came to me... 'Hey I can write better shit than this'... So I downloaded a copy of Fruityloops back in 2001 or so and started writing...
- Used to go to Redheads ( when Kasey Taylor and Sean Quin played Trance).. Chasers ( "Enter the Dragon" - When it first started off as a Trance night )... Joy @ Metro ( fucking fun times there ) and last but not least Warehouse on Wednesday nights (aka whorehouse... or SALT) etc etc
That is all :/

I am TA history.
Hey peoples!
Thread: Did You Listen to Sydney's radio stations on Saturday 30/12?
it was all fun.
I remember my early days of teasing people. Some of the guys didn't like me, some did. Always got on with phil, and we had people like matt, ves, alex, rem, duncan, slade, escee, Jah, inacoma
Joel, stipsy, drifter, stamper, dowlz, fraggle <3, astroboy, helen, sid, ballistic etc (if i've forgotten them, sorry
)
former Moderator........nahh its Sid messing with webby's account!lol
well I remember lurking ta in 2000 but didn't officially join til October 2001. A breif run down of my history.
- Loved trance throughout the haydays of Tiesto, Armin and PvD.
- First met Helen, Joel and Cameron at Godskitchen 2002 featuring Armin and J00f. Best Armin set to date and the encore of Iio - Rapture (Armin mix) when Armin dubbed the main chorus and let the crowd take over remains one of my clubbing highlights.
- Started venturing into various other forms of electronic music throughout 2003. Still enjoyed trance, but felt the sound was phasing itself out with an overload remakes and lack of original sounds.
- Late 2003 the progessive sounds Digweed, Sander, Holden, Sasha, Junkie XL and Dekay completed my transition. Digweed's private at YU remains the best set by any DJ to date.
- Presently discovering increasingly difficult to find what sounds do it for me. Love the ambient sounds of A man called adam and Chris Coco.
- TA has always been a special place for me. Made so many friends and had plenty of good times with you all.

An exceptionally brief history found the TA site whilst searching for trance tracks of the current period as I realised I was never ever going to hear the classics I wanted to hear out in late 2004.
Found the Australian forum section of TA in mid 2005 (Ive got a one year anniversary coming up in a couple of months
), and started to get into a forum fight about whether vocal trance tracks were any good or not (GOOD vocal trance tracks > most other tracks, for EMOTION, btw
)
Have since actually met some awesome TA people- they are TOO MUCH FUN!!! Not to mention incredibly kind in helping me sort out tickets and pointing me in the direction of the most insane parties in Melbourne to go to.
do i need to say anything?
2001: downloaded tracks from downloads section
2002: joined TA (enthusiastic plus!)
2003: still liked trance => moved into prog
2004: disliked trance completely => liked prog heaps => liked techno etc
2005: prog is boring, dont like anything EDM
2006: drop in to say hi.
Did have some good times with the TA lot though. Couple of wicked melbourne trips and all the fun had back here in adelaide!
I joined TA in 2002 with the knowledge that the coming of the great one, the manlike, Soups00 would fall down from the heavens and grace this community with his presence.
2001: came here to DL my first trance mp3s
2002: joined so i could ask for help with DL coz im a retard
2004-2006: hung around to rape everyone's tracklists & help you all with your spelling and grammar coz youre well stupid.
TA helps me cope with a job that i hate. thanks guys
i am user 11595 to join TA.
2000 = Found ta. Downloaded sets/mp3s.
2001 = Joined the forum, loved Ferry Corsten...and hard trance at the time
2002 = Creaming over huge tunes with everyone else, the era of Armin's remix of Seven Cities, System F - Solstice and Gouryella's Ligaya. Jumped on the anti hard trance bandwagon.
2003 = Thought the future of quality trance tunes would lie with 'Greg Murrey.'My fav tune was Combined Strength - Touched (Greg Murray remix) My interest of new tunes were slowly fading eventhough I also liked the hyped up tunes like Pulser - My Religion and Aly & Fila - Eye of Horus. Didn't understand the crap behind Gabriel & Dresden - As the Rush Comes, so I decided to produce my own cover.
2004 = Fed up with trance, and I organised Anti Trance Week, which broadcasted anything that was not trance.
2005 = Finally realised theres true quality genuine EDM out there...ie Trip-hop. And of course I got back to the non-edm stuff
2006 I'm still here...
Touched was awesome.. so loud it almost distorts when I listen to it Xavier.
Lets not forget your piano renditions of carte blanche.
erm joined as inacoma (not named after the fucked up store, but after pendulum- coma)
