cadence question
I just need to know if an deceptive cadence ,would be good with a trance riff suitable for uplifting trance . or should i stick with the usual I ,V,Vi,I .
If someone here has used a deceptive cadence in your riff id like to hear it .thanks

| Deceptive (or interrupted) cadence: V to any chord except I (typically vi)This is considered as one of the weakest cadences because of the "hanging" (suspended) feel it invokes. |
Both are valid..
Perfect cadence = V > I, which is what happens at the end of your pattern 9When it loops)
A weaker cadence is IV > I this is called a Plagal cadence and is commonly found in religious music (Think Amen at the end of Hymn).
In most trance 9and much modern music) the perfect cadence is the one to go for at the end.
I'f your talking basic chord progressions, bt the ones discussed so far are valid for trance.
yes jacheatamobits
i meant I -IV -V
and i also agree with Diginerd that they are both valid for uplifting
