Funky House/Disco - Kopi Luwak

Hi guys,
I am producing a house EP, Sam Mollison will sing on it, but right now I have only a sample of the DUB version, it is very disco, kinda like Jamiroquai style, hope you like it, feedback is welcome and returned :
Thanks in advance.

Hey man-of-the-styles ,

really good!

2 things i would change:
- would vary the percussion, little bit monotone
- give it more punch

cheers mate,

S-Tune

Smiley DJ

I agree with takkra about 70:s But it must be the strings that brings us back to 70:s but the funky chunky groove. Keep it up.

Cheers Snowave

Thanks for the feedback guys! , it is going to be a backing track so that's why the drums are bit monotone, I am sure Sam will add a lot of nice vocal melodies and harmonys, so until I get the vocals I will try to keep it like this , I will add more punch to the kick and the snare .

nice track although very commercial

must admit its not as good as your last one i listened to (the proggy house track)

everything is in order and sounding well a bit too commercial for my liking but interesting to hear you produce something different all the time.

good work

listening.....

hehehe..sounds very very old style disco.
not my style but sounds preofessional enough.

good work!

Thanks for the feedback guys, btw, give me a break, is not that old old style u claim to be guys :P, it is funky house, if u listen to Sophie elis bextor or jamiroquai, they sound the same, it is disco with house, but it is pretty updated like to be compared with that really old 70's disco stuff .

Hehe, cool stuff mate
I don't think this is old style, well.. it "is" in a way I guess, but this stuff is pretty popular within pop today, just take a listen to something like Absolute Music

Pro sounding mate, expecting to have a listen to the full track later

hey mate,

productionwise this sounds very good, very pro and smooth sounding. the guitar sample is great, very funky indeed. bassdrum is perfect, keep it as it is please.
at the moment this sounds very much like a standart loop, i hope you add some unique stuff to the final version (percs, voclas... as mentoined before).

actually im not a big fan of this kind of house music. anyway, i enjoied it.

waiting for the final...

bye, niklas.

Hey mate,
a very solid production. Can't find anything to criticize about it.
I feel instantly reminded of Saturday Night Fever, and of course like you mentioned, Jamiroquai here. All the instruments are perfectly arranged and put together.
Once again you show you are a versatile producer, not only capable of producing good ambient.
Had this one playing in the background for quite a while and it was very... uhm... I am at a loss for words here but its best described as generating inner warmth. Great job
