[review] Nick Warren & Danny Howells @ Avalon
DANNY HOWELLS OWNS HOUSE MUSIC AND EVERYONE ELSE CAN STFU
And I told him this too^^ to which he replied "Well I DUNNO ABOUT THAT MATE!"
Nick Warren was really good, Rich, I was duly impressed. He played some remix of Morgan Page - Landline and we went nuts. Then he played Criss Source - Hugs & Kisses (the vocals version) and we all died AGAIN.
But jesus, Danny Howells fucking owns.
It was bombs.com as soon as he took over from Nick, and it continued till I left around 5:30. Nick seemed fine with letting Danny destroy the place. And Danny can even drop tracks that arent even really anything special but, he knows what to put them next to to make them sound SICK.
It was great seein everyone out, Kfrogger, you alcoholic!
Somehow I had three Adios... it was 
Then around 4 some little birdie handed me a wristband ( 
) and I joined Mr. Rukes behind Danny & Co, which was fucking hilarious. Danny was laying down wax like it was goin out of style (cause it is) and it was fuckin awesome.
I've never seen drew run so fast ever. He put his camera on his monopod that wants to be a tripod (three small legs at the very bottom), up next to Danny and then was chatting with us, when I said "Dude you have alot of faith in that tripod sitting up there with Danny Howells jumping up and down right next to it." Bolted would be a good word...cause it was clearly an accident waiting to happen 
Glad it was averted 
Of course I did not recognize one fucking track that Danny played, bas can ID the new Madonna Remix he dropped just after getting on.
In conclusion, Nick Warren = refreshing, Danny Howells = For the fucking win, as usual.
songs of the nite: "hugs & kisses", and "landline", played by warren. that madonna song was pretty good too, i think howells played it.
i'm not a huge howells fan, i left an hour after he started. fun nite.

Fuck. That was a mind fuck set by Howells. He was practically playing kick in the face techno for a good part of the night. What the F was the High Rezz Bass track that kept spinning out of control he dropped around 5:30. That track was nuts. I managed to get him my track "Murder on Vanowen" while he was spinning he thanked me for it...which was tite. Howells is a dj I can trust...he never disappoints and never ceases to amaze, his versatility is unmatched.
i NEED his set! Any rips in the works???

I still haven't seen Warren. But I saw Howells last time he was in Seattle and in Vancouver recently and he tore it up both times!!!

Oh and BTW I saw V For Vendetta and I liked it more than the Matrix!
And double BTW, you guys know that No Stoppin' Love is basically a remix of I Need Your Love by The Rapture right? I love the track but I think I like Pearson's Friends With Girls mix better. *Shrug*

danny is the only house dj right now that i would pay to go see - house dj's are a dime a dozen
and danny seems to at the top of the his game atm - can't wait to see him in chicago!
