Tonearm Replacement

Was wondering if anyone here has ever replaced a tonearm on a technic turntable before. My one table continues to skip every record no matter the stylus, cartridge, weight settings, etc. I even added a penny for weight to just see what happens and it still skips. Only thing I can think of is that the tonearm got screwed up somehow. Could anyone point me into the right direction to how to go about doing this? Thanks.

I had this same problem..

easy fix - there will be a flat head screw on the top of the tonearm and on the side (left side) as well. Your screws are too tight or too lose so the needle is jumping.

Try lifting your tonearm and wiggling it back and forth.. if it feels "loose" then top screw needs to be tightened. You should be able to wiggle the tonearm back and forth without it feeling loose. It should feel tight. But be careful not to tighten these screws too tight because then it will be to tight for the tonearm to move properly in order to follow the track.

Let me know if this works for you
