mixers choices!

ok i know this ANOTHER thread about mixers but i still can't find anythin after searching.

basically im after a new mixer , currently have a behringher djx700(DON'T EVEN GO THERE!).

anyway im lookin to spend around 250 and have come up with a few options like the vestax pcv-275 and the ecler nuo2 or the ecler smac20 which i know now is discontinued but is still avliable for well under my budget.

so i was just wondering if people had any experiences with these models and could give me sum info on them or even suggest sum others, 2 or 3 channels are wot im looking for reli. also make sure suggestions are in my budget.

i dont need effects as i have a kaoss pad so send and returns are essential . that brings me to another question to pcv-275 user ive heard there are problems with using an external effects unit with this mixer, any one had any problems like this?

hope someone can help me with this one, having this piece of junk i have now is putting me off mixing.

thanx in advance!

what is so bad about the DJX700??/ I have one, and it works well - I mean I'm not the next PVD, but as long as you completly ignore the beat counters, its not so bad?

you are joking?

the faders are crap and the eqs are the worst thing ever! its only the last few degrees that do the cutting u have dont have much control over the bass, which isnt good when ur tryin to do a smooth mix!

are you going to sell the DJX700

what do you expect to get for it?

i have been planning on replacing it too, was thinking of a Numark DXM06 or DXM09, leaning towards the DXM09....

i dunno as much as i can get its in mint condition as i never use it. the numarks are nice my mate has the dxm 06 althhough his upfaders did go after a while. i too was gonna go for these and at one point the numark 5000fx but alas no fx loop to connect my kaoss pad to.

The knobs and sliders on the DJX700 are not linear, it is how it was DESIGNED. It isn't related to poor quality. You just get used it, it is working as designed. Much like certain mixers don't have LEDs for EQs and other things...

its a house style mixer, how do expect to mix house with non linear eqs. it requires delicate changes in eqs which is not possible with the djx700 they may as well only turn about 15 degrees coz thats the only portion of the eq that actually does anythin! and ppl are going off the subject here!

its about time i got rid of the junk! i want ppls opinions on the mixers listed above!

Firstly - The DJM 700 is shit. No offense to people who own it like!

Secondly, he was only trying to find out what the ecler is like.

Thirdly the DXM 06 is a good mixer, but like nutsan said, my channle faders are now totally shafted.

Mind you it did get a bowl of cereal and milk over it!

it doesnt have an fx loop tho!

I still use my years old Vestax PMC-05, it's been a great mixer.

does it have an fx loop similar to the pcv-275 or the ecler? thats the biggest thing i need on the mixer so i can actually use my kaoss pad i paid all that money for!
