[minimal] nils - karate kid [full vbr]

soooo i found an older track which i made after watching karate kid (awesome movie, hell yes) some while ago, and i figured i'd 'minimalize' it some. all is reworked except for the voice of the late pat morita (mr miyagi). it's only 2:07 min long and i thought i'd share it with you. comments & thoughts warmly appreciated

awesome. thanks guys
i thought about using a harder kick, because this one is kinda duff/soft, but there's no real bassline so i figured i'd keep it
thanks again!

Dont use harder kick! I love that glitchy breakbeat theme, its cool

Very odd yet very cool track. I think the best part is the glitchy breakbeat.

i agree on making the kick a notch harder

i think you have some quite cool ideas on the pads when they play alone, but it sounds a bit too random and as it is playing alone i don't think it works very well since the listeners attention is all focused on it. messing a bit with the tempo of each note might be enough but i'd add a couple more fx there.

the intro is *really* good, it immediately build up my expectations a lot, so couldn't help but feel a bit disappointed afterwards on those pads and the track ending very fast. it seems like a very solid base, but isn't used up to full potential.

awesome. i won't be working on it anymore, but i'm much obliged for the suggestions. i've turned blind (or rather, deaf) on this bugger, so it's good to have a pair of fresh ears judge/comment. thanks paranoik0
