Confused Dj Tiesto - The Lovers We Lost

i love the track but im missing that energetic feeling like adagio for strings for example, the vocals are nice but i think overall it would have been better if it were more energetic. what do you think?

its Allure - the loves we lost

and it's what trance is about in many ways, it doesn't always have to be so high & energetic

I agree with THIS review.

Only I dislike it a bit more.

nice way to spam. The track is a lot better than anything armin or tijs himself or pvd or many had done for a long time.

here is a link to a sample of the track

Why?

because it has emotion to it, a soul. It doesn't just sound like something knocked up in 10 minutes.

I suppose it's all relative.

To me Forever Today is a lot more soulful... as are some of the thingies on Parade Of The Athletes.

Meh, not IMO. Tiesto has made a lot of better and more soulful stuff, the latest being Forever Today, I think.

well geert made the orchestral stuff in the beginning i think, tiesto made the trance part, so they made the track together?....

in tijs' case, geert & others do a lot more than he. Listen for example to these

kamaya painters - you can clearly hear benno de goeij sounds -
gouryella - big fat ferry basslines etc
etc

tight track. not something Id expect from Tiesto these days but if he keeps pushing towards this kind of sound (whilst working out the kinks because its def not flawless) he may just redeem himself in my eyes.

we'll see what his BT collabs will sound like (and how much he actually contributes to them)

I'll chime in and say that I disagreed with SYSTEM-J's review. I thought that The Loves We Lost was the best thing from Tiesto in over two years (though still not close to his In My Memory work).

one of the worst tracks this year...

Posted by Rainborn on Mar-21-2006 11:15:

Isn't this from April 2005?

I love the track though!

Posted by isoterra on Mar-21-2006 11:18:

thought it was awesome. sounded totally original & different with a great contrast between the light/ethereal pads/vox and the raw & techy backing. sounds lovely & emotional without being obvious & in your face

thought the tc review was pretty shit tbh, i can respect reviews i disagree with but that one just seemed like an outright & desperate slatefest
