So they removed my appendix on Sunday...
On Saturday night my stomach gets really painful. I'm figuring it's just gas and so I take Gas X to get rid of the pain. On Sunday morning I wake and it went away, but then it came back when I was taking a shower, just as sharp as when it first set in. I'm figuring something is wrong.
So we go to the hospital. I take a blood test and they find a high white blood cell count, meaning there's an infection. So the next step is a CAT scan. After 2 hours of taking the dye (mixed with apple juice (tasty...not really)), it took me 20 minutes to do the entire CAT scan, and they tell me it should take 30 to 40 minutes for the doctors to review it and give me a diagnosis. But it only took 5 minutes for them to get back to me and tell me that "Mr. Morales, you have appendicitis. We're going to have to do an appendectomy."
So I have this South African anesthesiologist telling me "don't worry mate, you're 38 double D's that you asked for will look great on ya!" He puts the tube of anesthesia over my mouth, I make this goofy little smile, and the next thing I know I wake up in a a delerious state wondering what just happened.
It turned out that I had an enlarged to a slightly enflamed appendix. It was key that I checked into Beth Israel so early. They kept me for a half a day, and after I didn't throw up after a full lunch, they let me go armed with 2 prescriptions for pain killers.
So here I am, loaded up on Hydrocodene with another day off from work, typing this post out. To everyone who doesn't like me on this board, sorry that I didn't die. To all my friends, let's make sure we plan something out once I'm totally recovered. I miss you guys.

get better... I'm paranoid of any and all surgery, but doesn't seem like you were too bothered 
same thing happened to me, but it wasnt my apendix. i have a stomach virus. i've been home for two days now too, being off work rules but my stomach is still killing me.

state of trance: to be honest it didnt really suck at all, except for the saturday night/sunday morning before i went to the hospital...while i was in the hospital they gave me perkocets and i was able to walk around and sit up and do whatever while i waited to go into surgery...they only pain i really feel are the 3 dots where they made the incision...so yeah...but thanks for the love man...youre a good DJ...keep up the good work...

Hope your feelin better REAL SOON!!! LOL...my friend had the SAME thing happen to her in 7th grade, only she knew something was wrong and didn't want to tell anyone, well she ended up curled up in a ball on the floor of her house, still saying she was fine and her mom was like no you are going to the hospital right NOW!!! Her dad picked her up screaming, not cause the pain but why....cause she didn't want to miss "The New Kids On the Block" concert that night. Needless to say she never saw NKTOB (lol) but she's okay!!!
