Is Windsor an interesting place to visit?

Is Windsor a cool place to visit? Are there lots of people, parties, clubs, and entertainment?

I am deciding between visiting Windsor (which is a bit cheaper) and Vancouver.

windsor is a factory town with a few cheesy bars...

Id go to vancouver....

BTW what an extreme choice. They are both at least 4000 km away from each other. If you are going to do windsor, drive the extra 3 hours and go to Toronto where there is actually stuff to do. As for vancouver, you do know that vancouver is near seattle washington right?

Seriously though, depending on what kind of bar you are looking to go to Windsor can be alright. It is not really my thing, as the majority of bars their are top 40/hip hop clubs that cater to a 19-21 year old american crowd. There are some fun hangouts though.

However I would recommend Toronto and Vancouver over Windsor for that long of a trip, so much more to do.

But if you're looking for strip clubs and big burgers, Windsor is your place.

I've already been to Montreal and Toronto so I just want to explore more of Canada's cities.

P.S. Somebody mentioned strip clubs -- are they much worse in Vancouver?

I'm sure there are fine strip clubs in Vancouver.
The only reason windsor is known for them is because in the states their are all kinds of laws about strip clubs, eg. if they serve booze they can't be topless.
Where as in Canada there aren't those laws, so all the americans come to windsor.

vancouver actually has a huge porno industry so i assume the strip clubs there are half decent...

when i was there last christmas i asked my cousin which industries were big in vancouver....first thing that came out of his mouth....porn.

but aside from that, vancouver is amazing. go there. asap.

man, the bar scene in London is better than Windsor. And if you come up here on a Saturday, you're guaranteed to hear good fucking house and trance at Phoenix (in the basement) or at the Barking Frog. But if you're deciding between SW Ontario and Vancouver, then I'd take the latter.

I remember back in '01 when I went to a NASCAR race in Michigan with my dad, and we drove through Windsor, that Windsor was an absolute piece of shit and well, it's not that bad having been there a few times now but it certainly doesn't shine when compared with cities around here.

Windsor is a stop on the way to Detroit. And the reason that Americans go to Windsor is the drinking age... 19 up here as opposed to 21 down there. When the kids hit 21 they stay in the states.
