My grandfather taught me a few things before he died. But I forgot them.

Just because it uses roman characters doesn't mean I'll know how to pronounce it!

at my phonetics and descriptive grammar classes i gotta transcribe english sentences, but transcribing polish is a way harder than that...
but maybe it's just because i don't have all these funny-sound-signs at my keybord

Yep that is definately a common one, its so nice to hear that from a guy, something great to say for summertime is to say "Let's go for ice cream" - "Chodz daj mi loda" (hotch dai me loda)
