***Fl Studio Sidechain Video tutorial**

**xvid codec**

Some one requested a video tutorial so I thought I'd go ahead and make one. For some reason it would not record the submenu's, so here's some written instructions, I'm sure you will be able to figure it out

1) Once selecting fx channel one, clicking the down arrow, giving you a list of fxs, choose fruity Peak controller.

2) Peak controller windows comes up, turn off mute (shown in video)

3) Right click on volume knob for baseline, and select link to controller

4) remote control settings comes up - click down arrow under internal controller select - Peak ctrl (Insert 1) Peak+LFO (shown in video)

5) Click mapping formula - select - inverted **you can play with time settings for different sound**

6) Play with vol and TRS knobs on the peak controller window for different settings

That tutorial is really clear. I've not looked into 'sidechaining' myself so know nothing about it but am confident to try it from reading that.

Other things I'd like to know about in FL is how to do good sweeps, fills and 'pad like' effects to fill up the mix.

Snare fills, rev crashes, good sounding crashes, synth sweeping sounds in a fill or crash (to break down) that kind of thing. I know its really broad and quite vague, but this is something that can be done in so many ways - perhaps not good tutorial ground.

Keep them coming - they're all a big help!

yo man you seem like an excellent helper, ever thought about a video tutorial for n00bs , i wanna produce aside from djing, i wanna learn fl, i worked on it so many times and cant get some things straight, i have a midi keyboard and everytime i try to record what i play on it ends up recording the first key i hit only, and im sure its bcoz of what im doing is wrong. maybe you can do a tutorial just for how to record an intro beat followed by few leads from a keyboard then an outro, like a 1 minute track. or is that too much to ask lol,, think about it, Peace
